No, that is the intended effect. Their enemies will become criminals, which means they can arrest them and use them to justify further state power.
They don't care about crime at all, it's just a dogwhistle for black and brown people. If anything, this is a benefit because it means they can inflict harm on more people they don't like during the "crackdown".
You mean "stated effect", which you should know by now is almost always a lie, like when a politician's lips move.
If I'm not wrong that was the whole point of criminalizing weed.
It'd make being transgender inherently pornographic, possibly allowing them to harass, abuse, and roundup trans people.

Soooo they want stronger plot lines in their porn? Is that what I'm hearing? Something that they can sit down and watch with the family?
In case it wasn't clear to everyone, the end goal here is not banning porn, but to classify being gay, trans, etc, as sexually arousing and ban any speech by anyone in those groups, followed by banning those groups.
Am I missing something or can you just get around this by not having it on the Internet? Like you could just start shuffling a bunch of flash drives around.
It says that the content can't be digital, you'd have to use video tapes or other analog medium.

I see it more as a step towards banning a ton of content they don't like by claiming they are porn, or porn-adjacent (for example any LGBTQ+ content)
It was literally outlined as this in Project2025, ban porn then define speech you want to suppress (primarily LGBT but also women's health) as porn.
