Understood. Let it be known the ANY family without the means to fund their education is a terroist cell. Let's see how that affects voting

[–] Ghyste@sh.itjust.works 179 points 1 week ago (6 children)

Steve Bannon's face should be designated a terrorist organization.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 62 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Or a Superfund site. Maybe a tactical ethanol reserve.

Private and public? So just schools in general? Or is home schooling ok? Oh, but I'm sure you want some books burned first.

[–] kubica@fedia.io 45 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Mandatory classes through grok and strictly no other resources.

[–] flamingo_pinyata@sopuli.xyz 20 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Grok is woke these days. Mandatory offline bible study with only pre-approved interpretations

it'll be a good day when this guy passes... what a piece of shit

he will say anything to make people mad.

he is one of the few people I truly believe just wants to watch the world burn.

[–] Linktank@lemmy.today 20 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What has caused the misconception that there are only a few of them? That's a dangerous and incorrect assumption.

[–] limer@lemmy.ml 15 points 1 week ago

10% want the world to burn. 10% don’t want it to burn. The others don’t have strong feelings and can be convinced either way.

What the fuck does that even mean?

God these fucking weird freaks are the fucking worst.

[–] Noite_Etion@lemmy.world 41 points 1 week ago

Education is a threat to fascism. They want dumb people who will buy what they are selling.

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 58 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sure. Let's also designate grocery stores as terrorist organizations. Gyms. Maker spaces. Libraries. Gas stations. 'Terrorist organization' is a useless term now.

And remember:

Is "terrorist" their new code word for "I don't like this"

[–] bassomitron@lemmy.world 20 points 1 week ago (6 children)

That's the way it's been used in the US since 9/11/2001. Not sure about other places.

These globalists and these Marxists that have been in business with these global Marxists for decades and decades and decades […]

Such eloquence.

What the fuck is wrong with that dude? I clicked the link hoping the context would make more sense. The context was even more insane.

Was wondering when they were going to start closing down universities for being "communist". Looks like we're heading to that stage now.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 20 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Didn't some asshole try this in Cambodia

[–] Hobo@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago

I like the idea of referring to Pol Pot as "some asshole."

[–] JeremyHuntQW12@lemmy.world 20 points 1 week ago (2 children)

If I was one of the few humans in the USA that was a bigger piece of shit than Charlie Kirk, I'd probably be keeping my fucking mouth shut right now.

And I sure wish his fucking liver would hurry the fuck up.

I remember growing up that everyone knew what Marxism is and had a thoroughly developed class consciousness. Everyone was capable of developing a critique of capital. He might be onto something. It explains why America has such strong labor, free universal healthcare, and no bourgeoisie.

[–] Dorkyd68@lemmy.world 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I live in Oklahoma and what they are doing with the public school system is terrifying. Our kids are already at a disadvantage and now they are adding Christian bs and getting rid of books. The next generation of kids to come out of Oklahomas public schools are going to be indoctrinated on a terrifying level

A distraction so people don't fight back against billionaires?

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Given that their distractions have increasingly become as destructive if not even moreso than the thing they're distracting from, it's possible.

More likely that's it's just culture war bombast designed to reinforce the whole "everyone except us are evil and dangerous" groupthink that they're using for cohesion, though, IMO.

All schooling? Sounds like Steve Bannon wants to ban home schooling and wants to make Sunday school illegal.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Reminder that Bannon plead guilty for fraud because he created a fake "build the wall group" that asked for donations to build a racist wall. Bannon instead pocketed the money using it to live in lavish luxury.

Dude is opposed to schools because he needs more people to fleece.

If you want him to succumb to alcoholism faster send him whiskey. Preferably made in mexico to keep his blood pressure up.

He is a fantastic representative of MAGAts.

[–] kelpie_returns@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I don't agree tbh. He is too precising in the pursuit of his goals to properly represent them. The US is in the situation it is in so small part because of the sideways dedication and genuine know-how of this person.

He is, clearly, not wise (as is true of anybody willing to sell their fellows for power), but what he lacks in wisdom, he more than makes up for in cruel cunning. He is a bad representative of maga because maga is more like his prey or his host than it is something he's an actual part of. If maga is a fire, he is not a spark or a flicker, but a barrel of gasoline waiting to do what gasoline does

Not being snarky, but that sounds exactly like a drunk rant.

And yeah, schools are devastating our children, but it ain't the Marxists and globalists. I could rant for an hour, that's a whole 'nother post.

[–] 6stringringer@lemmy.zip 13 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Steve Bannon need his throat chakra realigned. No more talking from him will be just fine. If I can smell him from wherever I am, I will make some soup later on. Again, I say If I can smell him from wherever I am, I am making some soup. It is getting near sweater & soup season.

What a great talking point from Mr. "Flood the Zone". Let's all focus on that instead of the Epstein files!

Christ, i can smell that picture from here.

Fucking gross.
