That being said, this would be very on brand for the administration.
He has nothing to gain and much to lose. Consider that.

This guy wasn't a Palantir exec or a long term conservative operative with deep ties to people who are still on the inside. He was a mook. He turned after the first term.
Bullshit AI, he just picks out who he wants to fire based on his own personal whims. Then he bullshits "Oh, sorry, the AI said you're a traitor. I didn't fire you, the AI did".
Had a personality test at an interview once. They said it was standard practice. I said no and walked out.
