...CEO?

The IRS isn't a business. They don't sell a good or service.

They now sell subscription based tax breaks and priority enforcement goon squads against uppity competitors.

This is what they wanted. They wanted Trump to run the government like a business. They somehow think businesses do well after Trump pulls his cash. They somehow think the government should be run for profit as if the government will pay them. They somehow think the grift was anything other than firing half the staff to cut costs and then fleeing the company a year later right before the listing ship keels over from the weight of mismanagement. They somehow think they'll be C-level once Trump empowers them.

They somehow think they won't be the fat trimmed for efficiency.

Oh, it’s for profit but I’ll let you guess whose.

Just wait.

Ads everywhere they can place them? Yes.

Services for sale, like priority handling of returns and other filings? You bet!

Want special treatment in tax court? (Wink wink, nudge nudge) Sure, what's wrong with that?

Fuck, I hate all of this so very much.

Yeah. Just what I was thinking.

The CEO of the IRS?

We sure they didn't hire Vincent Adultman?

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

Or Vince McMahon

“Putting the same person in charge of both the IRS and SSA creates a conflict of interest when SSA wants access to legally protected taxpayer data,” Kaercher said.

Sure does. Really bad idea even if “CEO of IRS” was even a role that made sense in the first place.
