I demand proof of productivity from Jeff Bezos. Seems to me he just kicks around taking money, crushing other businesses, destroying the environment, messing up people's lives, sucking up to dictators and making the world worse. Jeff, prove you're not a waste of precious resources!

Maybe managers should have a better idea of what their employees are doing. Sounds more like a management issue than a worker issue

I've worked in many companies as a consultant and this is spot on. The organizations that spent the most time trying to measure productivity had the least knowledge about what their employees actually do.

I spent a lot of time arguing with one cto that his team needed to talk with their employees rather than send out weekly forms requiring people to list their accomplishments.

"Accomplishment? Well, I haven't quit this fucking job yet..."

Will the productivity be measured in bottles full with urine?

New metric - # of employees have to faint from exhaustion to = bezos yearly Botox bill.

Sounds like pretty standard perf review stuff I've seen at other North American corpos I've worhed at. Not saying I like it.

I hated it with a passion. They're stupid at best.

Put your goals here (to keep my job and get a raise). Put your weaknesses here (I hate my job and need to quit, but can't).

Glad I got out of those shitty places when I did.
