20 business day month. (For the sake of the Accountants)

If we had 25th of 28th off, in addition to Good Friday and Easter Monday, April would only have 19 workdays which would confuse the Bean Counters.

Meanwhile, March is going to have 21 workdays. (Same with May and June)

@Salvo

Naah. The bean counters already take the variations in the number of workdays into account.

That's why, when one hears of economic figures, one often hears the expression "seasonally adjusted" at various points. (Variations in "work days" are one factor of "seasonal adjustment".)

But in January, Mr Bleijie said he would not be moving to substitute Anzac Day for another day as it fell on a Saturday, rather than a Sunday.

This is the definition of un-Australian.

No shock that the lnp is opposed to days off work though.

Queensland's unique public holiday this year is the Ekka holiday, which will fall on Wednesday, August 12.

Well, no. Brisbane has the Ekka holiday. Other parts of Qld have different show days. Starting with this Friday in Stanthorpe.
