This could have all been ended when it was discovered Trump pressured Ukraine to investigate the Bidens. He should have been impeached and then imprisoned. The Republican party traded any semblance of law and justice for corrupt party loyalty.

Well obviously not a white one.
MTG helped build this hellscape. She shouldn’t be allowed to out run it either just because she decided to quit as soon as the wind changed directions.
She's got other heavy baggage for sure. But you can still appreciate her efforts on this front. If she's willing and able to tear down Trump and all the other pedos on the list, don't turn down the help. We still need all we can get.

Sure. Lets all assume MAGA believed it was a "hoax, or democratic lie" before today. Now that it isnt they need to explain why they still support Trump.

I will begrudgingly acknowledge that she was likely suckered in the same way so many people were suckered, and is now trying to do the right thing.
I will continue to quietly suspect that she's probably an accessory to the cover up in some way and is trying to save her own ass.

I don't really think she is trying to do the right thing. She was Trumps biggest ally for YEARS while he did some of the worst things, you could think of and she most likely knew about the Epstein stuff way before this and actively covered it up. She doesn't believe in anything except her own power.
I think, the reason she is doing this is because she recognized that Trump is a sinking ship and she is trying to take advantage of that for her own gain. Maybey she wants to run for president in the future or at least be the loyal companion of one. If she were to continue defending Trump for everything his admin does, she would sink with him, so she tries to get out.
Sometimes, even basically evil people have a line they won't cross. Deceiving the public and corrupting the rule of law beyond repair, just to protect a cabal of pedophile rapists, seems to be that line, for an alarmingly small number of republicans. I guess she just didn't think it would come to that. MTG is probably just your basic greedy racist vindictive kind of evil. I can imagine why the sadistic child raping stuff might be a deal breaker for some people.
I think MTG is loyal to "her people". She's fine when "other people" are hurt, but Epstein and his co-conspirators hurt white, Christian, American girls. We're seeing more and more people breaking off from MAGA based on their personal principles, like the NRA and other 2nd amendment rights group speaking out against the Pretti shooting.
Donald has no principles whatsoever, he just wants to "win" and demands absolute loyalty no matter what. It looks like some of his supporters are starting to see the con job, or maybe they already did, but they're starting to realize that allying with a man who will betray you as soon as you're no longer useful is a bad strategy.

I'm probably being generous to MTG and giving her the benefit of the doubt in spite of the fact that I'm appalled how "her people" are limited to white, American Christians. But my generous take on it is that she originally didn't know that the wealthy elites among her people were fucking the children among her people and once she realized that, she rebelled against it.
I'm don't know her or anyone who knows her so I'm just speculating based on the same information as everyone else, but it explains her behavior pretty well.
Yet unfortunately she did know and the child sex was just a step in her career, she would keep it hidden but was thrown under the bus by her people so she suddenly cares about kid penetration

The thing is, the line here wasn't some moral conflict. From what I understand, she's mad because the republicans wouldn't back her senate run. All this was ok with her as long as she continued to have a political career.
She’s on a tear because she thought she’d get a top cabinet position, only to discover that Trump along with everyone else in the party thinks she’s a moron.

You can go to Settings -> Comment customisation -> Highlight new comments to get rid of the purple backdrop. However, it didn't do this before with the setting enabled, so it seems like a bug to me...
