In statement posted on X via the Cuban Embassy in the US, the Interior Ministry said that the Florida-registered vessel - with the registration number FL7726SH - was detected near Cayo Falcones, in the country's central Villa Clara province on Wednesday morning.

When a Cuban boat carrying five members of the ministry's border guard approached the vessel for identification, "the crew of the violating speedboat opened fire" and wounded the Cuban commander, the statement said.

"As a consequence of the confrontation, as of the time of this report, four aggressors on the foreign vessel were killed and six injured," the statement added.

Those injured were evacuated and given medical assistance.

America fucking LOVES pushing and pushing and pushing a countries boundaries, taking more, seeing what they can get away with, how much they can take. Then, when the soverign nation reacts, as any other country would/should "THEYRE KILLING AMERICAN CITIZENS!!!!". The flag is false but the terrorism is now justified

100% this was a CIA operation.

Nah it was just some disgruntled Cubans who happen to have money from Cuban expats & training from independent security firms.

Just don't ask who connected them them with the resources.

The CIA is 100% more subtle than this. This is probably bad actors taking advantage of the chaos and racism to just shoot people in the water because they don't think anybody will stop them. The sad thing is they might be right.

The CIA under Trumps first term got their coup attempt laughed out of venezuela. His regimes success is the outlier not the norm.

Boating into Cuban waters just to shoot at the Cuban coast guard with presumably small arms for "racism" isn't impossible, but improbable.

Plus, ten people in on the plot and not one of them was an undercover or snitch? CIA infil gone wrong is more probable than that, as much as I don't want to agree with .ml.

I hope we find out what was going through their heads (before the other stuff that was going through their heads) with this plan. The buffoonery would be funny if it wasn't so dangerous.
