Why should he fight Israel's wars when there are Americans who will do it for him?

Dodging military service. Maybe he has bone spurs too.

[–] TheObviousSolution@lemmy.ca 4 points 8 hours ago

He has a face as punchable as spez's, too.

Why don’t presidents fight the war? Why do they always send the poor?

[–] ranzispa@mander.xyz 4 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

To be fair, Israel is the country which could be critiqued the least under this aspect. Netanyahu did fight in the military in a variety of conflicts and his brother was killed while fighting. I guess the son did not learn their trade

Barbarisms by Barbaras

With pointed heels

Victorious Victorias kneel

For brand new spanking deals

Marching forward, hypocritic

And hypnotic computers

You depend on our protection

Yet you feed us lies from the tablecloth

Crazy how much the lyrics written for shit happening under W fit better with what's going on now.

[–] Brickhead92@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

I had the same thought yesterday but for Year Zero by Nine Inch Nails.

[–] Zink@programming.dev 11 points 19 hours ago

Yeah, and especially for how popular it was back then it can be haunting to listen to old hits from bands like SOAD and RATM.

[–] sploder@lemmy.world 7 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

I’ve always been a mega SoaD fan but the last year or so the songs hit so fucking hard

[–] Zink@programming.dev 6 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

Absolutely. I've probably listened to Prison Song this past year more than any other track of theirs.

They're trying to build a prison
They're trying to build a prison
They're trying to build a prison for you and meeee

It's funny how this reads as: look over here, look how vulnerable he is. I certainly hope something doesn't happen to him. Right. HERE.

It was the fuck aroundest of times

It was the find outest of times

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 38 points 1 day ago (2 children)

34 years old? They speak about him like a teenager

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 1 points 14 minutes ago

34? I was serving my country at that age.

Not Israel nor the USA, for the record.

[–] andallthat@lemmy.world 34 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago)

He's the son of a Politician. They mature around 60 and reach that peak predator energy around 80.

[–] Shanmugha@lemmy.world 19 points 22 hours ago

So he is not even in Israel. How new and fresh

When do we as humanity burn the fucking authoritarian playbook to the ground along with anyone following it?

[–] theacharnian@lemmy.ca 71 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

Controversial opinion: more young Israelis should do what this man is doing. They should say "lol fuck this shit, who wants to be fighting anyway" and move out of Israel. North American and European countries should welcome them with open arms. Anti-aliyah. Who needs a shithole apartheid bunker state anyway? Settlers move out, come live free from that shit and Free Palestine.

[–] kittykillinit@lemy.lol 2 points 33 minutes ago

This is what would solve the problem in the Middle East, which is why they will never do it.

[–] dan1101@lemmy.world 54 points 1 day ago (16 children)

OTOH, the children of leaders calling for war should be the first on the front lines.

I mean, I guess I'd rather have him here than killing people? Still exposes the whole Israeli operation as a farce.

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 7 points 19 hours ago

Get his worthless ass into a frontline infantry unit.

[–] bacon_pdp@lemmy.world 62 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sounds like ICE has a valid deportation target for once.

[–] zebidiah@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 day ago

someone should phone in a tip....

[–] intrepid@lemmy.ca 210 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Surprise! Surprise! The elite class who start wars and sent ordinary people to their deaths at the battlefront are draft dodgers!

I dream of a world where whenever these 'leaders' and rulers declare a war, ordinary people on both sides drag them out of their castles, tie them up and throw them in an arena along with sticks, stones, knives and maces. The people can take positions along the gallery of the arena and cheer their leaders on, as the latter fight each other to their deaths. And if they refuse to do so, we can send along some wild lions and elephants for motivation.

Creedence called it almost 60 years ago, in the best anti-war song ever and a few decades later, SoaD asked "why do they always send the poor" in one of the best ones of this millennium

Guillotines are far cheaper. There's a reason they're a fan favorite.

I do appreciate this part, probably not intended as comedy but still very funny.

[–] Jimbel@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago

Do the same with trumps family.
