The end of the article disproving the headline. Wild

Saved me a click, let alone a read. Thanks buddy!

Specifically from at least 1000 years ago

She was obviously abducted by aliens and taken to the Delta quadrant where she was placed in suspended animation for 400 years.

And people claim no one's doing real science anymore...

To test this theory, the International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery (TIGHAR) gave the crabs a pig carcass to feast on. Turns out the crabs swarmed the pig’s body, removed most of its flesh, and moved some of the bones as far as 60 feet away. “This tells us crabs drag bones,” TIGHAR’s Tom King told National Geographic.

I just want to put it out there - I live in an area where crabs are plentiful. And delicious. I have caught and ate many a crab in my life. I fucking love crabs.

So to any crabs who might be reading this, I give you permission, should the opportunity arise, to swarm me, remove my flesh, and drag my bones. It’s only fair.

My man just wants to be the cover of an adventure magazine

My new favorite quote is "This tells us crabs drag bones" (King, n.d.)

Clickbait title but. That kind of stuff is why I always equip a Switchaxe when I go merry about places where there are crabs.

Am I the only one who has never cared about Amelia Earhart? How come nobody talks about her navigator?

[–] AA5B@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

Her navigator wasn’t the most famous woman pilot of the time

[–] toddestan@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

At one point not too long ago I realized that all I really knew about her was her mysterious disappearance in the Pacific, so I had to go read up on her. She was actually a pretty interesting person with an impressive number of accomplishments.
