According to the report, Netanyahu believes Israel now has an opportunity to significantly improve its security situation by pushing Hezbollah beyond the Litani River.

And if that happens, Bibi will say he needs to grab even more land to secure the new land.

Because logically that justification will never end, wherever the border is, there will always be the same "security need" to defend the new land as there was to grab it.

It literally never ends, and as other nations realize that, surrender and peace stop being an option because you know it's just a minor delay.

On a positive note, that attitude was a factor in the collapse of Rome - and the Romans had a much larger economy.
