So, hey, Americans, your president is openly threatening genocide. You might uh, want to do something about that. Just a thought.

[–] peopleproblems@lemmy.world 12 points 19 minutes ago (3 children)

Open to suggestions.

I don't think any of y'all know how well protected this asshole is

[–] KoboldCoterie@pawb.social 9 points 16 minutes ago* (last edited 15 minutes ago) (2 children)

Seriously, there seems to be this delusion that we all just have magic buttons that execute our politicians on a whim. What the fuck do you expect us to do, specifically, to fix this?

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 4 points 14 minutes ago

oh, anything short of killing ourselves at the government will not be enough for the freaks on this website.

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 14 minutes ago

especially since the whoopsie that one time

[–] RaoulDuke25@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 6 minutes ago

Insurrection?

Its been proven that the impeachment doesn't do shit. Infact the last time we impeached our president he was allowed to run and be elected again.

[–] empireOfLove2@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 minutes ago

And it'll go just like last time, every Republican closes ranks and it wastes everyone's time

[–] a4ng3l@lemmy.world 1 points 3 minutes ago

Unanimously supported or is it again an isolated democrat move? Asking because it’s kindof annoying to let USA delete a whole civilization…

[–] SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 19 minutes ago

but they didn't vote for the genocidal kamala.

how could this have happened???

[–] HuudaHarkiten@piefed.social 101 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Iran has been calling his bluff at every point. Not surprising.

Hilarious to see. Would be great if it didn't ruin everything while being hilarious though.

[–] evenglow@lemmy.world 49 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

Republicans had a choice. They chose to make things worse. They can't complain about laughing out of frustration or dark humor. Not after decades of sabotaging America so they could finally control USA.

[–] HuudaHarkiten@piefed.social 41 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Republicans had a whole bunch of choices. They still have a lot of choices. They keep choosing to do the stupid and/or evil choice. I'll be laughing at them and what happens to Americans for years or decades.

I'm more concerned about the rest of the world having to deal with the consequences of moronic republican decisions.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@piefed.social 22 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

I’m more concerned about the rest of the world having to deal with the consequences of moronic republican decisions.

This is the worst part of it. I didn't vote for that moronic child fucker. I can't even vote in that shithole because I don't live there. Yet, I'm getting fucked, and roughly, because of them.

But hey, 'don't go "all americans" because some of them didn't vote for him'. Well fuck you! You didn't vote for him, but what about us? Getting screwed by someone who's not even in our continent just because he fucked kids and don't want to go to jail for it?

[–] HuudaHarkiten@piefed.social 11 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Yeah I'm getting a bit tired of the "I didn't vote for him" thing from Americans. I understand that they didn't but from the outside, I can't really start singling out people, so as a result I blame America as a whole. They should have fixed their system decades ago, but they didn't care enough.

I sympathize for all the anti-trump Americans... but they are doing as much as the Republicans are doing, to remove him. Which is fuck all. Going on a parade on a Saturday once in two months doesn't count as doing something, no matter how "historically large" it was.

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 2 points 33 minutes ago (1 children)

I wasn’t even old enough to vote against him the first time he ran. I did my best to convince all my historically conservative Republican family to not vote for him, however the propaganda they consume is too strong to get to them. My mother has been watching Fox News chronically since 1997 when it first aired. By 2016, she’d been consuming that propaganda straight for damn near 20 years!!!

[–] HuudaHarkiten@piefed.social 1 points 30 minutes ago (2 children)

Yeah that sucks and all but its still up to you and your fellow citizens to fix this shit, since your political class wont do anything, except encourage the orange cunt.

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 2 points 16 minutes ago (1 children)

The tipping point hasn't arrived yet.

[–] HuudaHarkiten@piefed.social 1 points 3 minutes ago

If you mean the "people are actually starving" tipping point, sure, that hasn't arrived yet.

But the 21st century tipping point flew past ages ago.

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 1 points 24 minutes ago (1 children)

The problem is the vast majority of Americans can’t monetarily afford to protest because of the style of capitalism here. It forces us to work or be homeless/healthcareless. Only thing that will force change is either a fair election (ain’t going to happen), some sort of coup, or country-wide strike (would be one I would like to participate in).

[–] HuudaHarkiten@piefed.social 2 points 13 minutes ago

But I was told Americans are so much richer than us Europoors!

Jokes aside... Theres options. You guys could like organize and stuff. Pool some money to have a security net in case someone gets fired. Work together with employers. Do some logistics and realize not everyone needs to be out protesting every day. One group protests on monday, another group on a tuesday, etc.

Saying "we can't afford to protest" is just giving up. Nobody said it will be easy. And nobody is suggesting that the people who have 7 children to feed or a crippling medical problems, should be the ones protesting....

[–] StillAlive@piefed.world 4 points 47 minutes ago (2 children)

Oh but don't you know Kamala Harris wasn't a good enough candidate so some Americans couldn't bring themselves to vote for her.

Fuck those guys even more than MAGA.

[–] jumjummy@lemmy.world 3 points 20 minutes ago

Absolutely. Anyone who was eligible to vote in the US that didn’t vote for Kamala Harris come the general election is part of the reason we have Trump. These are objective facts at this point.

“But Gaza!”, “both sides”, “NeoLiberals”, etc. are all flimsy excuses.

You want progressives to have a chance of winning? Make the Republican Party lose so badly that they aren’t contenders ever again. Now you can start to differentiate within the Democrat party to get some true progressives.

[–] AbsolutelyNotAVelociraptor@piefed.social 3 points 44 minutes ago (1 children)

Nah, it's worse. Every voter that didn't vote in those elections just said: "I'm ok with both candidates". They have decided that choosing Harris or PedoHitler was the same thing. Is not that she wasn't "good enough", it's that they said she was AS GOOD AS PEDOHITLER.

[–] StillAlive@piefed.world 3 points 32 minutes ago (1 children)

Some of them are still at it. A mere mention of choosing between lesser evil and they come in calling us 'genocide supporters'.

They can't complain

Unfortunately, they can and will.

They need to clutch pearls at every chance they get to show how 'evil' the left is so they can villainize them easier.

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 16 points 59 minutes ago

Huh. Weird. Turns out when you show a demented willingness to cause mass genocide, people might get the impression that negotiations aren't really an option anymore.

[–] Clbull@lemmy.world 34 points 1 hour ago (3 children)

The US had a perfectly good nuclear deal with Iran, but Trump chose to rip it up nine years ago because it had Obama's name on it.

Should come to no surprise that Iran don't want to end this crisis diplomatically with the same guy who stabbed them in the back just to spite the Democrats...

Trump sparked anger and concern around the globe on Tuesday morning with his post, which read, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”

I've not read the full wording of his Truth Social post until now, but why does it read like he's trying to cut a wrestling promo?

I mean his description of the US airman rescue operation in yesterday's press conference where he called the Iranian army a "hostile, very talented, very good, very evil military" was giving me Danhausen vibes...

[–] Zombiepirate@lemmy.world 16 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

If he plays his cards right, he might end up winning the WWE Peace Prize.

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 5 points 44 minutes ago* (last edited 44 minutes ago)

Did you misspel WW3? 🤭

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 1 points 19 minutes ago

Tbh, it sounds too coherent to be him.

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 2 points 59 minutes ago* (last edited 52 minutes ago) (1 children)

The US had a perfectly good deal. Israel didn't. If the deal had stayed in place, the Iranian econony would have roughly doubled by now. That's a lot more resources that could stay in Israel's way of expanding into Lebanon for example.

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 2 points 52 minutes ago (1 children)

The deal benefited Israel as well... what are you talking about!?

What the deal did not include was: praise for the orange pedophile and/or distraction for his crimes or Bibi's

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 5 points 50 minutes ago* (last edited 49 minutes ago) (6 children)

Did an edit to add that before I saw your reply. Don't buy what Israel tells you about how they love the Iranian people. Consider Israel's material interests.

E: Also it's fairly public fact that Israel lobbied against the deal and following it lobbied for repeal.

It isn't really "talks" when the alternative is to be destroyed as a civilization. That's bullying and extortion

[–] RockBottom@feddit.org 19 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Who would've thought the art of the deal is just black mailing?

[–] CatZoomies@lemmy.world 5 points 49 minutes ago

The Art of the Deal: Letting your fragile self be easily manipulated into getting nothing that you wanted.

[–] SuiXi3D@fedia.io 11 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

Good. Call his bluff. Show the world what a fucking idiot asshole he is.

[–] AlanWake2112@lemmy.world 1 points 7 minutes ago

I am reasonably sure the world is well aware. But I’m happy to have extra receipts for it.

[–] bananabread@lemmy.zip 1 points 8 minutes ago

That sounds good, until he actually strikes

[–] leoj@piefed.social 11 points 1 hour ago

I would wish he would just die already but I honestly believe he is just a puppet with 80 different hands up his ass.

[–] Ilixtze@lemmy.ml 10 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

The Iran leadership has been acting like civilized humans while the American pedophile coalition has been trashing, yelling and sinking deeper in their war crimes and genocidal drivel like barbarians and animals. If Iran disappears we will always remember this.

[–] northendtrooper@lemmy.ca 13 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

This is 'Sum of all Fears' level of OH FUCK.

[–] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 12 points 1 hour ago

Yep it's not funny. Some commenters seem to find this funny. It's not. He's an incredibly dangerous man and easily capable of killing millions with zero remorse.

[–] SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 hour ago

The "art" of this deal is called DEATH.
