"As revolutionaries, we don't have the right to say that we're tired of explaining. We must never stop explaining. We also know that when the people understand, they cannot but follow us. In any case, we, the people, have no enemies when it comes to peoples. Our only enemies are the imperialist regimes and organizations." Thomas Sankara, 1985

First thing Magyar did was invite Netanyahu over

I'm seeing a lot of "Heh, the 'you can't vote out fascism' crowd is pretty quiet right nowsmuglord" posts that will probably age extremely poorly

[–] Red_Scare@lemmygrad.ml 17 points 2 days ago

Same as when Assad got replaced by a literal ISIS leader. If Putin got replaced by that nazi Navalny they would also be celebrating "the defeat of fascism". I also remember very well how libs celebrated the fascist coup in Ukraine. It's the same story every time.

When a liberal does not understand fascism ("fascism is just ultra-nationalism")

Edit: Wow, I got 20 upvotes! Thank you all for upvoting my comment when it was just me pointing out how liberals fail to understand and define fascism.

[–] cornishon@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

and by that they mean "fascism is when not unconditionally pro-EU/pro-US"

[–] LeninZedong@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 day ago

Yeah, Ukrainian fascism gets a pass for the liberals.

Euros focusing on Victor Orban so they can avoid acknowledging Victor, Iran.

the only thing worth celebrating is the continued humiliation of JD Vance and his sheer ability to fuck things up (assuming he had anything at all to do with this)

Wait is the new ruler of Hungary literally named "Magyar"? I mean it's not that strange but fucking imagine the next US president being called something like Bob America. Or the next UK prime minister being named Jenny English.

This is probably the most impactful thing I've learned about him.

[–] Des@hexbear.net 19 points 3 days ago

almost as silly as the U.S. senator named Lawrence Eagleburger. but far more on the nose

Same libs are pushing the 25th amendment crap to oust Trump, which would result in President Vance (a doofus in the pocket of christo-fascist Peter Thiel).

Basically the only difference is that the new government is 100% EU bootlicker and it was the entire point, squashing any dissent in EU. Plus libs as always don't care about anything else than their percieved position in teamsport that is politics for them, and even their position is completely dpendent on what imperial media tell them. It's even clearly visible in this case since either very first or one of the first things Magyar did was inviting Netanyahu, but the fact that liberal dream team include USA, EU, Ukraine and Israel somehow remains forever uncommented and unanalysed by libs.

Same product, but now with a new, pro-EU twist!!! Consume unmoderately.

[–] KrupskayaPraxis@lemmygrad.ml 34 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I'd say it's worse because for one the new government is pro-EU and pro-Ukraine, and secondly because people will let their guard down because they think it's better

[–] Maeve@lemmygrad.ml 20 points 3 days ago

Get ready for the wave of legacy media lies and memory holes.

[–] Wakmrow@hexbear.net 6 points 2 days ago

I don't think they're pro Ukraine. From what I'm reading they've been deliberately vague about their stance

[–] Wakmrow@hexbear.net 7 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Lmao just one person bothered to post anything as answer to your picture and it was just "wtf", libs are dishonest fucking cowards even in their absolute safest of spaces.

[–] Saymaz@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 1 day ago

3 years in Gulag for you for posting this shit here.

[–] Wakmrow@hexbear.net 32 points 3 days ago

Magyar is also anti immigrant and he hates lgbt people!

[–] demeritum@lemmygrad.ml 30 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I hate more that it validated the blue no matter who crowd. As if Orbán wasn't actively pressured to be pushed out by the EU.

[–] Maeve@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I wonder if there was any weird election interference?

[–] knfrmity@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 2 days ago

Between the name ("Peter Hungary" could be a character in a bad spy comedy movie) and how celebratory the EU establishment is I can't help but wonder if there was election interference.
