Pure market manipulation.

Trump / Rubio : we're close to a deal. It's pretty much done.

Iran: we're not close and Trump is just saying otherwise to manipulate the media.

Media: Deal is close but doubts linger.

It is interesting that I believe the Iranian news over the US regime.

It's actually quite bizar that a lot of us went from 'the US says so, so it must be true' to 'the US says so, so it must be a lie', within a year.

I stopped paying attention after George said it was all good in front of that Mission Accomplished banner. I assume the parades for the liberators were amazing though.

I'm dumb so apologies but, what's the manipulation? Stock markets have been closed all weekend including Memorial Day. How does re-igniting the war ~12 hours before it opens affect it?

As soon as the market opens, it goes into panic mode and tanks. Pedohitler buys stock, then on friday announces a deal (causing the market to rise again) and he sells for profit. Rinse and repeat.

Ah I see, thanks for the explanation!

New York, London, Hong Kong, and Chicago were closed.
Euronext, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Toronto were open.

What happened? They find another threatening school?

The oil markets opened so they can now sell all the expensive oil that they bought at cheap prices last week.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago

Ah yes, this must be that finalized peace deal trump has been talking about.

The latest little pump and dump? Yesterday they hype up the state of negotiations, buy oil futures, today they attack southern Iran, sell oil futures?

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

I read something earlier where Iran said the deal wasn't as done as Trump made it out to be, and they're not really trustworthy of the whole process as they've already been bombed ~~twice~~ three times now during negotiations
