My Dad passed away from from dementia, and he was deep into it before the tests finally officially confirmed it. Literally EVERYONE around him absolutely knew it, but so much of the test had to do with numbers - telling time, adding numbers, etc. - that he did deceptively good on it. He never had a problem with numbers, right up to the end. He had been a Mathmatics major in college, and was hard-wired for numbers. Even dementia couldn't disturb that. I saw a 60 minutes piece on Tony Bennett, and he was exactly the same way with music.

So just because you pass the test, doesn't mean you aren't already showing strong symptoms of dementia. I've never taken the test, and neither has my mother. You only take it when someone suggests that it's a good idea because you've been showing symptoms. Of Trump is taking it, it's probably because those around him are becoming alarmed at his behavior.

It really pisses off the rest of Asia, that Japan won't truly acknowledge their atrocities.

I'll bet the Chinese are thrilled.

I'm concerned about the rise of the far right on Europe and the Americas, but not so much with Japan. If Japan starts getting froggy, China will remember what they did to them in WWII, and crush them decisively, with help from every other Asian country, who also remembers Japan's behavior. Asia HATES Japan.

North Vietnam was 100% a Russian proxy in the Vietnam War, and they won, so despite any convenient economic alliance with America, they will always have a friendly relationship with Russia.

He's an actual psychopath, so he doesn't have any concept of love, or any other emotion other than hate, jealously, and greed. That's why he's always saying really weird things like he and the Korean guy "fell in love" and exchanged "beautiful love letters." It's why he recently said that he got some world leaders in a room, and they all hugged and worked out their problems. It's why he says really inappropriate things about people's appearances, thinking he is complimenting them.

He doesn't understand these concepts at all, because he's a profoundly broken human being, raised in a family of generational psychopaths. Like all psychopaths, he knows he's different from normal people, so he has to fake normal behavior to fit in. Most learn to do it because they have to to survive in society, but Trump was so spoiled and coddled, he never had to change his behavior, he just kept getting worse and worse.

But at some point he realized he had to try, so he sprinkles words that he knows the Normies like, like Love, and Beautiful, etc. He doesn't really know what they mean, he's never really felt any emotions, but he knows he has to fake it, and since he's never really had to sell it, he's terrible at it. He tosses those words around in really inappropriate contexts, and instead of looking normal, he looks even more psychopathic than usual.

Because Trump doesn't want to give it to Americans for health care or food. Fuck them! What did they ever do for him?

Americans are conditioned to do a lot of things without thinking about it, but if they ever really stopped to consider it, they'd be outraged.

For instance, those heart-tugging ads for St Jude's Children's Hospital. It's a great thing they do, taking in cancer kids, and covering all the expenses, even housing and food. They show grateful parents crying, because their kids have a chance because of the charity of St Jude and the viewers, and viewers shed a tear and donate.

It never occurs to anyone that in almost every other country in the world, such a place wouldn't be necessary. Their cancer kids would simply be taken care of. No pomp about it, no commercials begging for donations, curing cancer kids is just business as usual.

But in America, your kid will just DIE unless you've got good health insurance (which is about to get a LOT more expensive), a lot of money, or hit the charity lottery.

But that never occurs to Americans watching that ad. They will dig into their pockets to send money to St Jude, before they will give money to a progressive candidate to change our health care system so it doesn't require tear-jerking marketing to operate.

It used to be the Mall. It was always a place to hang out, meet friends, window shop, eat, see a movie, etc.

When I was a kid, the local mall even included the local library. I thought that was a great idea, but I never saw another mall with a library.

So, is this a request for help, a threat, or just a grift?

Perhaps he really is concerned about rogue AI Slaughterbots, and wants to avoid that horrible Terminator-style future? Nah.

Perhaps it's a veiled threat - "I got these rogue Slaughterbots who are straining to get out there and fuck up the world, unless you give me a trillion bucks."

Or maybe, there are no robots, or even viable plans to build them, and he just wants a trillion bucks.

It's probably #3, and he'll use the money to build the Slaughterbots, and then do #2.

Trump thinks that intimidating the entire world into obeying his orders, or else, is the same thing as Peace, and they'll happily give him the Peace Prize for it.

Perhaps, but it doesn't change the fact that these people have a very serious mental illness so massive that it literally affects the rest of the world. They must be dealt with properly, not encouraged to lean into their destructive mental illness by funding their follies with taxpayer money.

Works for me. Brand a Swastika, or MAGA, or PedoCon, or Traitor, etc. Maybe give them their choice.
