Trump talked about swapping territories, but he never said Ukraine. He's talking about America. He's going to give Alaska to Russia, and Russia is going to give us Canada, and maybe Greenland.

Trump will look at the fact that Canada is much bigger than Alaska, so he wins. It won't occur to him that Canada isn't Russia's to give away, nor does Alaska belong to Trump to give away.

Trump will make announcement like he's the greatest deal maker in history, American citizens will be outraged, and Putin will just laugh and laugh...

Fuck, I'm going to have to go back to doing math in my head again, aren't I?

That's a pretty good one, but your post was three days ago, and there's only been one new post since. That's pretty quiet compared to Reddit, with hundreds of posts a day, over multiple forums.

Guitars. Reddit has numerous active, friendly, supportive guitar forums. Lemmy doesn't have a single one.

Pasta and sauce. As long as you have a few basic herbs and spices on hand (garlic powder, Italian seasonings, salt pepper), you can buy a can of crushed tomatoes, and a box of pasta, and you can have several delicious, filling meals for less than 5 bucks total. Spend a little more and toss in ground beef, ground pork, or mushrooms, or a combination of all three.

Aldi has the ingredients for really cheap. You can even buy a pound of ground pork for only about $3. The spices are only about a buck each.

I've noticed that general traffic in the Central Florida area, where traffic is usually among the very worst on the entire East Coast, has been much lighter lately.

We know that cops are profiling people, and pulling over Hispanics for false reasons, so my speculation is that people are staying off the roads except when absolutely necessary.

I also believe that Hispanic parents are telling their kids to stay in the house with their friends, and not go out and drive around. Remember when you were a teen, and would drive all day because at least you were out of the house and away from the parents? If those kids get in some trouble, it could easily find its way back to the parents, and the next thing you know, the entire family is on its way back to Honduras. So parents are warning their kids of the serious consequences of even a minor issue.

I think a lot of people are laying low.

They have not been the same country for 1000 years. They entirely changed their governmental system TWICE within the 20th century.

Sure, because of all the things that we could loosen regulations on, CRYPTO should be at the top of the list. After all, we have only people with the most unquestionable integrity involved. /S

Something will happen, eventually. One thing is historically certain, authoritarian governments like this eventually collapse under the weight of their own incompetence. You can't operate a government with incompetent, ignorant loyalists, and expect it to succeed, especially when ALL the competent leadership and management are in the resistance.

Intelligent people will ALWAYS beat idiots, no matter how big or strong they are. If nothing else, you just wait for the idiots to destroy themselves. Fighting them is just to speed up the process.

It sounds like you'd have to replace the whole stack, but that's only about $15-20 at Home Depot.

There should be some sort of threaded seal around the hole on the bottom of the tank where the water flows in, and the hardware all attaches to that.

I've never seen anything like your situation, you might need a plumber to sort that out.

Maybe try a different model. I've got a simple one from Amazon that was only about $30. Now that yours is already installed on the tank, it should be easy to swap out a new one.
