Yeah man, that’s the corruption, giving that money to Raytheon and Lockheed is like, the whole point. If we had a cheap disposable drone we wouldn’t be going to war, because no one would benefit from selling them.

This is unironically exactly what State and Revolution is. Including BigDaddy69, because all of these people were using ~~screen~~ pen names!

State and Revolution reads like a Twitter thread. The whole book. It could’ve been posted by any online leftist in its entirety and fit right in.

Call-outs of his contemporaries basically calling them libs, scare quotes galore, referring to social democrats as “social chauvinists” every time he brings them up, references to previous posts. Lenin really was one of the OG posters.

RIP Lenin you would’ve loved Maoist Standard English

Nah, “protecting the children” from “trans ideology” and anti-Zionism is the point, de-anonymization is a bonus. The driving motivators here are transphobia (“No one will be trans if they can’t learn that trans people exist!”) and Zionism (“The kids are only anti-Israel because of what they see online!”)

If you’re going to ban social media for anyone it should start at retirement age. Social media has done far more damage to grandparents on Facebook than teenagers. My nephew doesn’t send me AI slop about antifa that he doesn’t realize is fake, that was my grandma (looking up at us now 🙏)

We have to pay for basically any part of medical care, but abortions are actually special because it’s illegal for any government funding to go towards it at all

And that’s if you live in a state where it’s legal, or at least a state that won’t prosecute you for leaving the state to get one. In basically the entire South now (so nearly every state with a high Black population) it’s straight up illegal and in half of them they’ll go after you for leaving the state to get one too.

Democrats do genocide. Are you getting it yet? You are the baddies. Why are you teaming up with team baddy

Yeah man no shit. We live in the fucking 4th Reich. So forgive me for thinking the Wehrmacht soldier who says we should shut down the concentration camps and pull out of France is a preferable alternative to his opponents who commend the SS on a daily basis.

Is he an evil guy? Of course he is! We live in the 4th reich! Can we move on to something worth talking about now?

I’m sorry but in order to have any sort of productive discussion on American politics you’re gonna have to set your bars for evil to relative levels, if you try to use normal human morality as a scale your alarm will just be going off constantly. The background levels of Hitler Particles is just too high.

The worst case scenario is he’s exactly as bad as his opponents openly claim they will be

Thank you, I almost spelled it that way but decided against it lmao

I’m so fucking sick of hearing about this guy, both from people who hate him and people who love him.

Either he wins or he doesn’t. I don’t live in Maine, I have no input on the matter. His main opponent dropped out so he probably will.

If he wins, I hope he supports the policies he claims to. I don’t live in Maine, so I have no influence on whether he does or doesn’t

I imagine there are exceptions

The only ones I can think of all trace their origins back to US intelligence anyway, ISIS, Al Qaeda, etc.

So many leftists will go “Well yeah obviously Russia isn’t as evil as the U.S. or Israel, but the invasion of Ukraine was still wrong!” But if you ask them follow-up questions about how the war started, the genocide of Russians in the Donbas before Russia’s invasion, and whether Hamas’s allies (Iran, Hezbollah, Yemen) were justified in attacking Israel in defense of Gaza, they run out of answers very quickly.

The parallels between these two conflicts are very clear. Israel and Ukraine are fascist, racial supremacist states funded by the west that love doing genocide. Gaza and the Donbas are their victims. Russia and Iran are the regional powers that reluctantly got involved, not necessarily to stop the genocide but because they were pushed into a corner, but are nevertheless on the right side of the fight.

History didn’t start on October 7 2023, and it didn’t start on February 24 2022 either. Russia didn’t start the war, Russia joined the ongoing war in Ukraine on the side of Ukraine’s victims. Most of their reasoning for doing so was selfish, sure, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t the correct thing to do.
