What? Spain stopped selling arms to Israel in 2023:

This year then cancelled arms orders from Israel that were already in progress.

This sounds like bullshit.

An uncertified device can no longer be legally marketed or used

Ok, but I'm not marketing my LineageOS phone and I don't believe Samsung can be responsible for me using it. It sounds like phones with custom ROM will simply lose CE certification (unless the custom ROM is itself certified). Samsung obtains the CE certification and sells certified phone. Making them responsible for anything that happens after that (besides regular updates) is something completely different than what this article talks about. It would basically mean that Samsung has to make sure that their devices cannot be hacked/rooted but ensuring security of hardware and software is something completely different and is covered by different laws. Even the RAD website clearly says this:

"In 2021, the Commission decided to pause the initiative following the announcement of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), due to potential overlaps. In 2023, it was agreed that cybersecurity requirements would transfer from the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) to the CRA."

Out of curiosity, what does the law say exactly? Is distributing porn without age verification illegal? Like, if I set up a a 'take one, leave one' free porn box, would using it be illegal?

I think the narrative is now that "parenting is hard" and you can't expect parents to do it right by themselves. Parenting used to be easy so parents didn't need any help but now it's just too difficult and government needs to help.

INAL but I think this could be considered destroying money. Destroying money is illegal in US so if someone would decide that dyed bills are unfit for circulation it would be a crime. I don't think there are clear laws saying that bills with dye on them are "unfit for circulation" but it sure could be argued that bills attracting attention of police are, in fact, unfit for normal use.

Spain suspended arms sales to Israel in 2023. What France, UK, Canada and others are doing now is embarrassingly little and shockingly late. Really, at this point they are basically saying "we're fine with genocide but could you please hide at a little bit better so it's easier for us to pretend we don't see anything".

First we need to spend 100k on researcher and publish at least 20 articles.

But yes, big feet.

I like how people are proud of having 20 yo viewing history on YT. Send your browsing history to Google as well, see how impressed they are.

I actually think this is the only way forward past phones. All the AI assistant tools, voice controlled speakers, foldable devices don't really change how we use 99% of the software. VR/AR, when (if?) finally done right will change that.
