“Text” is almost always used no matter what actual messaging service was used.

Also how would AI have sent a SMS to his phone from her? It was likely an ai generated screenshot of messages.

No chatbot has ever caused a death.

There’s no such thing as child porn

There definitely is, and it falls under CSAM. Pornographic material isn’t by definition only adults.

Punish people that spread pornographic deepfakes, don’t try and censor the product that people used to make them.

Should photoshop be banned?

Most messaging services that people use these days aren’t showing up in “phone records”.

I’d say it was because there’s a stereotype of asians thinking not excelling is worse than death, and you mentioned that same thing. Doesn’t matter if what you said is true when dealing with perpetually offended leftist volunteer janitors.

That goes for ALL medical advice you get on the internet, not just AI, unless the advice is “contact a doctor”.

AI is just summarising the stuff they would have done ordinarily through Google anyway. AI has really shone a light on just how many people will blindly accept whatever someone on the internet tells them.

The price is absurd as well, especially with that warranty.

I’m going to sit and watch how they do for a year before considering buying one. My Apple watch is nearing EOL with the crowns push button only working like 25% of the time, so will be on the lookout for a replacement.

And they will also stretch the rules to accomodate banning whatever they want to ban at any time.

There’s really no difference between reddit and Lemmy other than more opportunity for moreauthoritarian censor-heavy mods and admins. The “vote with your feet” didn’t work on Reddit and it doesn’t work here, since 99% of people are just lurkers who go where the majority and “defaults” are.

On Reddit anyone can make a new sub, but it virtually never works now matter how bad the original gets.

They are ok with his authoritarian style of moderation, because he has been doing it since I’ve been on here beginning with the reddit “exodus”.

The best thing that could happen is for him to stay as the main mod, keep doing what he’s doing, and drive enough people away to the point where his instances become irrelevant and the communities move to a less authoritarian one.
