Blowing up satellites turns it from 1 bit of space junk into thousands...

Hang the DJ just makes me wonder how much was spent on data centres compared to swiping left/right
Blackmailing people with content like that is happening every day. Just its normally to get you to send crypto to scammers.
I don't accept it. But wtf can I do about it? Other than abandon every platform that asks for ID. But I have already done that. Which is why I am here.
My government are pushing for this stuff though.
Which is why I am here now instead of on reddit where I got fed up of being asked to submit for facial and ID scans. Fuck that! I have seen some of my comments online, there is no way I want my ID permanently attached to that.
Good point. I live near the sea and it doesn't seem to get as hot here.
Tbh I find the main issue is being hot and sweaty where ever you are contacting a bed or sofa. That could be solved with just a decent cooling pad to sit on.
Also really hot when I get in from a bike ride. But that is going to happen most of the year regardless of AC.
Then surely solar panels are peak freedom? They can turn off petrol pumps very easily. They are going to struggle to turn off the fucking sun.
If you are speed running yeah
Not sure if they do need your legal name, I know loads of people use a shorter version of their name use that just fine.
If you get the job then you probably do need to tell then, but just applying? Anything works as long as it looks plausible.
Disorientation, panic and difficult terrain can all be factors. Getting injured in the process of trying to escape too.
Picture a dense forest. You know there is a fire, you vaguely know what direction it is probably in but that is where the path goes. So you go off the path away from it. Probably. Now you hit a river and try to follow the river away from the fire instead. Now hit some impassable terrain and the only option is to go back, but now that route is on fire.
I was just thinking this conversation is clear who has played KSP.
Simplified, you have a rocket orbiting around the earth going over both poles in a circular orbit. Above the north pole its 250km high and fires off its rocket all at once. Now its orbit is an eclipse going to 500km above the south pole, but it will return to 250km above the north pole. If you want to increase your altitude over the north pole you would need to accelerate above the south pole.
Orbiting is much more about going really really fast than it is about going really high up. Vast majority of the acceleration of launching into orbit goes into acceleration parallel to the ground rather than lifting away from it.
