Im in the US so I can't really ignore the US politics and given globalization I would likely want to know about the highlights if I was out of here but I just blocks meme communities. Nothing wrong with blocking. I also block sports as that is not my thing. Problem with us politics is its inundated in the news communities. You could block maybe news communities that are not explicity not the US because we know it still dominates the world news oftentimes. Anyway. Block is your friend.

To some degree they are just web frontends to the backend technology. kbin was done by this guy earnest which had a feel I just liked better but something happened with him and the fork mbin is the only real option now which is fine but earnest seemed to have a vision that did not come to complete fruition, I did not use lemmy much but when I compared the two I went with kbin. Was on mbin when kbin blew up but piefed came along and eventually I tried it. Its main thing is it has these topics where it nests communities. So I can browse the topic comics which has a bunch of communities where people post comics in it. Its handy. I really like some of the nice options like I can block on keywords and allow nsfw to show (I swear some people tag pictures with it because its showing to much ankle. ok that was an exaggeration but man peoples ideas of what is not safe I think is a super broad spectrum and im not really concerned about nsfw) in your feed without blurring and another than will sorta darken bot submissions a bit so you can tell when scrolling. Now all this is because its been super active with development so it can bit a bit wonky. when scrolling I see this thing where text overlaps and messes things up but ultimately its a minor nuissance and I can scroll up or down to get what I want and the other things are so useful plus I can see more is to come so seems to be the most likely to keep on getting better. Anyway that is why I cam where I currently am. Its gotten a spike in popularity too which caused it to be sorta offline for a bit a week or so back but it was pretty short and they got things going. I can tell you anyone used to earnest with kbin will think nothing of that (kbin was legendary with its downtime). So if you want more stability go with lemmy/mbin but if you want more features go with piefed. Keep in mind stability is mostly about instances so a particular lemmy or mbin could be more or less stable. Anyway I like features.

I sorta wish they would allow like any tool that meets some standard like under a certain weight and dimensions and can't be beyond a simple machine and can't have multiple components in the sense of pulleys or rope. LIke it should cover most multitools or knives or soemthing someone might 3d print. I mean I could not do this show but I often think I would want to bring stuff that is not on the list but simple devices.

Lately I have been watching that cult experts videos and one thing that caught me was when he talked about mlm's being cults which I experienced with my sister being into an mlm. It sorta blows my mind how expansive this type of thing is without us even realizing it. One thing I wonder about is Im signed up for this thing that is basically supposed to be about getting focus groups. Twice now I have seen ones advertised looking for no particular thing just wants opinions and is 8 or 9 fucking hours long with a decent enough payoff but WTF! I have not responded to them because immediately I felt its at best a time share pitch or something and at worst a cult. Well you signed a paper that said you would be here for nine hours.

While they are left alone the team is not very far away. I think an hour or so by boat. The contestants are not super far from each other as well but the terrain and walking isolates them. Every mile is a workout. Add to this that the only elctronics anywhere near is on the ship and the camera equipment. I guess what im saying is the drone could easily get caught even if small because if its small it has to be launched closer to the person which means a ship that could get caught. If it has to go a far distance it has to be far larger and it can't blend in to any other electronic/mechanical noise in the area. Lastly they get regular wellness checks which are also inspections so they better damn well hide that shit good.
