This whole situation is so goddamn stupid. I'm not even clear what the moron thinks this will accomplish. You can't build industry overnight nor convince people to work jobs they don't want to work for unacceptable pay. There are certainly ways to increase manufacturing within the US, but it doesn't have shit to do with any other country.

I'd argue that the need to sell is greater. Not only is the product perishable, but often times farmers are leveraged at the beginning of the season and then pay off that yearly debt once the product sells. Now, the season hasn't started yet, but that doesn't mean loans haven't been taken out and money already spent. If this doesn't get wrapped up by Sep/Oct, we'll see plenty of folks/corporations literally losing the farm.

The topic at hand was the ICC. At least in this case, they are being the most honest about it. They aren't going to follow the guidelines, so they are withdrawing. That's a better position than France, who will remain signatory but not arrest netanyahu.

Europe is pretty divided around the warrant for netanyahu, so I'm not sure how they are not displaying "European values."
