Completely normal. Also a good opportunity to practice the art of letting go.

Tattoos, yes. Sunglasses, yes. Regular glasses, yes. Seconding what another commenter said about just being clean and well-kempt.

The district pointed to a state law enacted in 2022, which mandates that school sports teams must be designated “based on the biological sex of the students who participate” in the sport. A federal judge blocked enforcement of that law in 2023, but only against two trans student-athletes who filed suit against it. (An appeals court upheld that injunction last year, and the Supreme Court declined to take up the case this summer.)

Any chance this is some malicious compliance?

"It's just common sense." No, it's usually either an inference you made based on incorrect information, or it's information you gleaned from your particular environment that not everyone has experienced.

Choreography. I can't follow other people's motions to save my life.

I volunteered at the polls on election day and ran over a cardinal on the way there. That's when I knew we were cooked.

In 2020 there was a worldwide pagan ritual on Halloween (in which I participated) to bind Trump in order to prevent his election. Biden won. In 2024, there was no collective ritual and we know how that turned out. I don't actually believe in magic, but at this point, I'm happy to hedge(witch) my bets.

OP said "always" and "never." So I'm not really sure what the purpose of this discussion is beyond refuting those superlatives. Is the idea that there needs to be more physically abusive women in fiction? Or fewer men? What is the ideal?
