Windows ME wasn't a sadist. It would have to actually work to get that far. The best thing that happened to a laptop I had which came with ME installed was to put Win98 on it. Ran great after that.

Correct, which is why it should be pronounced just like the word that was meant to be typed, only replacing the "o" with a "p" sound. It wasn't that hard to figure out when it became a thing, people just like word drama.
If it was just them, it wouldn't be a bad thing. This could escalate into something much bigger and uglier than just a corporation losing money. And a lot who will get hurt voted against the damn leopards, yet here they are roaming around.
Yes, but there are far easier and cheaper ways to go. Dude must have just read about using things from space to control sunlight input and thought he's such a genius surely he can figure it out. I guess he skipped over all the debunking that such ideas get.
And crucially, once we jump on the geoengineering train, we better not stop. It will only slow things and buy more time, but if we stop after beginning, the spike will be catastrophic (probably, there's still so much we learn, but it won't be a solution). But we will go that route, because economic health is far more important than anything else, and never plateaus by its very nature. There must be growth, or it all crashes down.
Some of us are old enough to remember how cats and other creatures would get killed by old car engine designs with the large open fan driven by a belt. They would sleep on that fan housing and not realize the danger when the car was started. So there have been improvements that have helped, maybe not necessarily for that reason. For what it's worth, I'm on the side of minimizing cars for so many reasons, but it has been worse for animals in the past.
Vote FOR it, or vote IN it. Two different things. Pretty sure most people would love more choices to fit the many directions and not have to accept with "close enough" or "better than the other one". As for voting in the system as it exists, there is absolutely the option to just not vote because you feel it's a waste... but then you get what we have now, since most non-voters (for whatever reasons they didn't) would have not picked Trump.
The real flaw: people who shout that voting is useless during a voting year, but then don't try and improve the system during the off years with what's there. Of course it's the same voting dichotomy if no one bothers to change it before the next cycle. You get what you put in. I would suggest that it's because of apathy between voting periods that's the problem, people vote (or not) and then ignore politics until the next go around, and are shocked that it's the same.
Conversely, instead of blocking the data transfer, have it send false data. Maybe a few drop table inserts.

Maybe not. Any idea when it became a thing online? It seemed to coincide with when AI images started to get a lot better (and thus used a lot more), and that could have been a few years ago, or this year, depending on your standard of "better".
"Slop" ought to be another word that's gained popularity in use. I'm still having trouble with it, mainly because I think it's overused a lot in short insults and dismissals of things. Not aimed at you here, at least you define WHY you consider it in that category. I'm talking more the "AI slop" that mirrors the "fake news" or "git gud" or any other reply that avoids actual discussion and screams "I hate this, but have nothing more to contribute".
That's the amazing part. No, not them saying they'd still vote for Trump. The fact that they can still talk with half their face gnawed off. I just wonder - was it because of the "any Democrat/leftist bad" mentality, was it because she was a woman, or what it because she was black? He said it wasn't anything said on the campaign, so it wasn't how badly they tanked her run. Maybe a combo?
If you're going to pull that dead end thinking, then how about trying to change the Republican party to help the American public? (I initially said "better", but we're starting at zero)
