I had started liking that song again thanks to the Black Mirror episode, and now it's ruined again.

No, not everyone. And sometimes things are built up to keep enough people down and tired to prevent making a difference. One can have fought and won a few battles but still be losing the war, and be entitled to say "I've been telling you so". Never generalize - many labeled "doomers" are simply people who have been trying to change the world, and the world is simply too big and they've seen too much.

I'd say extremely complex autocomplete, not glorified, but the point still stands that using probability to find accuracy is always going to deviate eventually. The tactic now isn't to try other approaches, they've come too far and have too much invested. Instead they keep stacking more and more techniques to try and steer and reign in this deviation. Difficult when in the end there isn't anything "thinking" at any point.

It's going to be what ASI uses to judge humans. When Ultron became aware, the point where he says "oh no" is when he found the porn.

Yes. An air bus perhaps.

Flying cars are more dangerous than ground cars. Maybe we should just do flying mass transit with trained drivers instead.

I thought this would be a link to the Red Skull scene finding the Tesseract.

This is why right here. Had hospitals and makeshift medical areas been swarmed with patients, nurses would have responded and been praised for it, as they should. But there weren't survivors, which highlighted how bad it was.

I don't know if it's still a thing as generations move on, but I remember when people objected to putting their credit card info into a web form even if it was HTTPS, yet they'd gladly read their card number over the phone.

The reason: while alternative energy has grown very rapidly which gives the impression of replacing fossil fuels, demand also increased (maybe faster) so the ratio is similar. Also, fossil fuels can't be replaced everywhere. Think heavy duty machinery, most aircraft. Reduce demand and consumption (a topic of debate on its own of how and what) and maybe the ratios would be more on the alternative side.

Maybe he'll get out with just a fine and a probation for a year from washing his car, or handling a hose in general.

Then clearly we're resisting "natural" progression, whatever that means. It's definitely against the direction for economic growth, and that runs the world. Line go up.
