Github holds plenty of examples to bypass chinese great firewall. I would say you use a vps and set up those proxyies, a while ago it was shadowsocks. Today, idk. Maybe amneziawg. Not sure if you can make the clients work on windows 7, in any case just get a travel router set it up there and use that as the filter to your connection. Break down the problem into pieces. And yes, that router and/ or vps will have Linux (:

I wonder if any major project has had forks because of their inclusion or exclusion of AI.

And I'm unsure if that's positive or not. Maybe it is because it can accommodate the needs and wants of everyone. But then again there's division and all this tension. The polarization is too much right now. And it may even grow further, as the AI enticement becomes deeper with cheaper, smarter, whatever may happen... Meanwhile, oligarchs are enjoying their Datacenters and pushing their agenda for surveillance and control or even monopoly of one voice, the voice of AI, that holds "the truth" with examples as whatever you get when asking DeepSeek about Tiannamen square. And chatgpt may have blindspots of their own that we are yet to see.

What I'm trying to say is that the political debate is bigger than what any community can really hold without accepting a certain degree of heterogeneity.

We were always doing it ( stupid memes )

thanks for the info. Perhaps you can post into one of those fediverse or meta communities.

PS. I really enjoyed the instance science_memes section. Did the mods migrate the community elsewhere? I'd be up for creating one under programming.dev if needed but I rather not do a takeover.

I am locking the thread because I consider this cherry picking comments from KDE maintainers misinformation. Let's wait and see where they go... The discussion as to include gen AI code, in which ways, how much, etc. is something that many projects (if not all) are undergoing. Let's be respectful to their open decision processes! This respectfulness needs to be regardless of whether we agree or not with what they do. Once they make a decision, sure, go ahead with flaming commentaries and endorsing alternatives or forks (if they appeared)

Why are they telling you what to do in the first place. Maybe you're terrible coworker hahaha! But for real, I'd only do it for the cheating. Being a slack, not caring shit, and getting paid. Surely not your thing. Then don't.

Until death does us apart. On avg. that's 4 years and generally the first failure it's their battery life

Is not down, just dns blocked and it keeps its domain (was it Org?) but hosts nothing, it's all magnet links. And many torrents are bad quality, definitely not the better tracker.

That domain this tool uses, I do not recognize. My goto solution is prowlarr (and torrentfreak for news.)

Oh, and torrentio.

Still gotta try nbznd tho these days I streamio a lot. Hehe.

There's a 10% probability that you are a bot. /S

You see the point now?

But I agree with you. Oligarchs and corporations need regulations. All businesses do. Yet with capitalists is always the same, rules for the towns folk but not for the destroyers of our planet.

The issue the article is pointing at, is that they are using the allegedly apocalypse to push a for-profit agenda (refulation for others, ban on distillation.)
