The main sponsor of the show, Moroccanoil, is an Israeli company. This was obvious.

I am a wanna-be coding data analyst who has decided to start directly in Codeberg, more because of anti-US than anti-AI sentiment.

I have 2 questions for everyone more experienced than me and in general more knowledgeable of the market dynamics:

  1. How far is Forgejo/Codeberg from feature parity with Github?
  2. I don't see any public SaaS/tools connecting to Codeberg as they are with Github. Is this by design or is it due to lack of reception? And, in your opinion, what would be a kind of service/connector that would really change things if made available for Codeberg?

Or, like, humanitarian aid headed to Gaza right now.

You have on the typical rose-tinted glasses many wear when thinking about Denmark and Scandinavia in general.

Greetings,

An Italian who lived in Scandinavia 13 years and is trying hard to escape before Denmark hits a recession.

Sounds like an invitation to Omertà.

I find the proposed amendments to Article 9 particularly problematic ... And perfectly in line with AI bros telling you to make AI chatbots your friends while seeing them harvesting suicidal thoughts, self-reported depression symptoms and body dysmorphia.

The French Revolution was also supported by the outspoken writings and speeches of an intellectual élite that came to shape most of what European culture has evolved to since.

This élite demanded education for the masses, freedom of the press, derived a non-religious base for social order from the natural laws discovered and popularized by the Enlightenment.

Now... the USA... intellectual élite... rich people spending to educate the masses... naah, don't see it.

This guy may actually be among the best they can recruit.

We need a jingle for Enshittification.

That would actually be true if companies were run by the people doing the work.

European SMEs have united to direct a strong open letter to urge ministers of EU member states to oppose Chat Control and to defend privacy and a strong European tech industry.

In addition to this, on the national broadcaster site I read that one of their journalists has seen several firetrucks going towards the VIP terminal, while there is not yet any police at the passenger terminals.

The ongoing UN assembly together with the presence here in town of the UN Citadel makes me fear an attack against a diplomat or other UN worker.

I am looking for a good fitness tracker to start doing cardio in a more measured way.

I was interested in Polar and Oura as EU alternatives (both Finnish companies), but both send data (health data, which is sensitive according to Article 9 of the GDPR) to AWS.

Are you aware of any EU solutions, or at least non-US, Chinese, Russian, or Israeli solutions, that do not send my data to companies in those countries?

I would like to be able to organize something self-hosted, but I don't think I'm capable of doing that yet.
