I think it’s a really weird confluence of acceptance seeking mixed with internalized homophobia from a religious upbringing. There’s such a strong self hatred they can’t help but take it out on others, because they feel:
- Jealous that they don’t get to suck cock too (or for the ladies, have a meal at the bearded clam).
- Jealous of the self acceptance others have had. That is, if they’re gay, “why don’t they hate themselves for that too?”
- Enacting violence against someone like that is a perverse proxy for violence against the part of themselves they hate the most.
But like, that’s just my opinion, man…
Not a stupid question for sure, but I also would be reluctant to trust anything random internet people say about things of a medical nature.
