I mean it is always good to have a report one can point to but i think it was pretty blatantly obvious when JD Vance and Elon Musk openly promoted the AfD in Germany.

It was. Time and time again people on here call for the extermination of this or that group (in some cases it was simple political dissent). When you call them out they will throw weird questions at you and attack if you do not answer or will summon "logical fallacies" like the little edge lords they have become. It is honestly quite poisened and there is no sense in arguing on the internet anymore.

Ok so your argument is that the western societies have by now better values that israel is not living up to? I can, in part, agree to that. My biggest complaint however is that we ourselves are not living up to our own values. For the last decades it was no problem to bomb civilians in the name of fighting terror. And thats what Israel also tells everyone. Two lies do not make a truth

I mean if you are educated about the history of the state that is israel you would know that is very much a western, not to say british, project. After WW2 the U.S. has taken lead with arming and backing Israel in anything they do but Europeans laid the ground for everything. We do not need Russia for western imperialism, racism and complete disregard for humans life. We do that all on our own aswell. Like do not get me wrong, i absolutely despise todays Russia. But Israel really was not their project.

ALL people forget that different people have different priorities and as such will "slack" where others are "diligent". Our lives have gotten so complex that you would have a hard time finding a single person that does not slack in some areas, deemed important by some subset of society. Sport, nutrition, financial security, education, minimal tech secop, political action (atleast voting), a clean living space, clothing thats considered acceptable, an active social live and the list goes on.

So to summarize, of course "techies" forget that backups are not important to most people. Thats just normal behaviour for people in general.

Not so sure about the last one as it reeks of nostalgia. Corrupts politicians have existed in the past, honorable politicians still exist. The biggest change imo is how easily the corrupt people can influence their voters and how they get away with everything.
