Hear my idea:

First we pollute the air enough to be almost unbreathable (as a side gig, we get to burn oil, coal steel...)

Then we make special facilities to filter said pollution from air before said air enters the house.

Then we sell these house for a premium with grade AAA+++ the best air quality ever.

Now, what to do with the defective filters?

Put in a house with grade B+ air quality.

Grade C will be the houses that get the air that was exhausted from AAA+++ and B+ (after being breathed a few times and with no filtering).

Grade F is the good old coal air that the people who can't pay will have to breath as they work in the coal burning facilities.

Also worth noting that it is "everyone's problem" as soon as US turns his military against other countries.

For now it is Venezuela and maybe Nigeria,

But here at South America we are "bracing for impact" even though we aren't Venezuela per se.

Trump already told he wants to annex Canada, Panama, Greenland and Vance already vented his distaste against Europe.

It is just a matter of time before US turns against Europe.

And then it will suddenly be a "World's problem" because it only is a problem when the western civilization gets the wrong end of the stick.

Maybe even more (Shaky hands... happens all the time....)

Is it at least edible gold? Maybe with a pinch of lead to sweet it out?

(Inb4 I'm obviously joking. I'll also spoil the joke by saying there are edible gold (even though it has no nutritional value) and that lead can be used as a sweetener (even though it is poisonous and will make almost as dumb as RFK brainworms))

There is an obvious reason why countries like Germany make a strong stance against any "trolling" nazi joke/imagery/salute.

But America's First Amendment seems to not understand that reason (or only understand when it is weaponized against communism, black people, trans rights and all the "woke culture" stuff)

Well.... no surprising since we ought to have the molengrad.

There is even a better side (no joke) called hexbear.net

The sad part is that it is not federated with most instances.

But still a good place to go and learn.

Brazilian here. Even when it is too late there will people still drinking the koolaid.

I'm waiting to see how things will develop in US, in part, because I hope the obvious failure that is bound to happen will nudge our senate and judiciary to say a loud "FUCK NO!" to anyone trying to copy cat Trump's tarifs, Big Beautiful Bill or other shits here.

Still, there are 20 or 30% of the population that still want something similar to Bolsonaro.

If we ever have the disgrace of that idiot getting freed of Jail, I'll either join the fight against his sycophants or I'll flee away from Brazil.

(free bolsonaro is unlikely but not impossible and there are his family members and close ties in politics to always haunt us that want a proper democracy)

Also, the old testament god is not a single god.

It started as a god among other equally powerful and important gods and was later turned (by the writers) into the most important god.

Then it turned into god and satan as being similar in power.

Nowadays, the majority of church people flip the switch whenever they want a bi-theism (god vs satan) or a monotheism (god is all powerful and even satan can't act with god's explicit orders).

Similar thing with free will.

You have free will until you don't have and you have no free will until it is convenient to say you actually have.

And Christ died in the cross to teach us (only those who have a fragment of the divine) how to ascend to perfection and get out of the Demiurge's hand. Btw, those who don't have a fragment of the divine are just NPC (just like myself who am also an NPC)

[–] nekbardrun@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

not disagreeing in any way, but just sharing reputable sources on that statement before anyone says it is a "conspiracy":

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-33398388

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/7/5/us-spied-on-brazilian-president-and-top-officials

Also, given that we are almost 10 years afte this article, I'm pretty sure any sane person (by that I mean someone who is not bolsonarist) can see where the (predictive) article agrees or disagrees with reality (past brazilian news and even memory of events):

Brazilian here: (TL:DR Bolsonaro did it first and, if it was staged, he at least acted pretty well and kinda believable (video link below))

Bolsonaro had a similar "assassination attempt" in 2018 that, until today, nobody can prove if it was an actual attempt, an planned move or (more beliavable to me given how stupid they are) an planned move that went wrong last minute and he indeed got stabbed in the belly.

There was a lot of weird things around like the lack of blood in the knife, the fact that the "murderer" got some really good lawyers who managed to shut down the case which is even weirder because, given how bolsonaro is vindictive, he would totally go scorched earth on that dude if the crime was real.

Yet, the video footage is at least an "believable" assassination attempt. And by that, I mean more believable than what Trump did.

Here is the video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J6yRmvqQzE

Bolsonaro even went to hospital right after that, which makes hard to believe it's not real, but, at the same time, it is expected that all that was a facade back then.
