I installed Linux on this 8-inch mini laptop, and it's my new favorite way of computing in c/technology@lemmy.world

There was a MacBook 12 inch like this that my business partner loved. It would last all day on a charge and he was building our app with it (Xcode and I think clang builds).

This was 10 years ago though.

Manna got rampant capitalism + AI pretty close, and has predicted McDonalds payment kiosks, Amazon worker abuse, and probably some of the tech layoffs too.
