Are you selfhosting anything? Asking for what I should rec.

Journaling everyday really helps me. I constantly fell off when I gave myself rules of how the journal should be. Having a super easy format and giving myself the freedom to write whatever made it easy to write everyday and love it.

You might try a calendar or to do/reminders app as well. For instance iPhones reminders app is good because it will auto write the time based on what you type. I find this VERY convenient when making tasks and events.

Personally I somehow work really well with a fire under my rear. I delay forever until I’m forced to do the task then I am able to lock in. It’s either that or fail. Assuming you already knew the basics of the company and interview I think it’s achievable :) But, that’s how I work. I totally understand going into panic mode and freezing. We all work differently.

But I think you should take this as a learning opportunity to schedule and take notes better and have a easily changeable interview script ready to go :)

Use a good calendar either physical or synced between devices. Eight everything down immediately. Solved!

Also, 45 minutes before an interview is plenty of time to prep. Next time tell yourself you can do it.

Fair, it is high effort

I fully agree but this is clearly a play on a passage from the Bible so I understood it as I described

Cat for the real one’s

Obviously if public the material would be important. But private, only over ssh or vpn? Free internet, power, and backup!

Inspired by this comment to try to learn what I'm missing.

  • Cloudflare proxy
  • Reverse Proxy
  • Fail2ban
  • Docker containers on their own networks

Another concern I have is does it need to be on a separate machine on a vlan from the rest of the network or is that too much?

Are they self posting? Are they bots?

I've gone handwritten, obsidian, onenote, and now Trilium. Considering switching to something else because there is no offline mobile support.

I use memos and trilium together but since neither offers mobile offline support considering switching both. No reason to run two services when I could run one.

Considering:

  • Joplin
  • Logseq
  • SiYuan
  • ?

I backup my files via rsync then have some essentially docker containers backed up and running in case the first one goes down :)

I found some that do the opposite, take digital writing and format into a printed list.
