I volunteer in the community and strike up the political conversations there. Most people prefer to believe a pretty lie over the truth. At least the 60+ folks I get in touch with.

My voice is there, but I am competing against most news outlets and centrist/right politicians spinning their anti-immigrant and pro-war rhetoric. If headlines are put in print, people believe them.

I'm not able to teach people to critically think or question the truth and intent of what the political majority tells them. Sadly, I've tried and am at a loss and tired. If you have ideas how to do this, please share.

Democracy doesn't work without education, I'm sick and tired of these idiots voting for their own, and my, executioners

Thanks, this is good to know. I'm in the process of upgrading my media setup and am playing around with Jellyfin to replace Plex. I've been reluctant to commit since Plex is easy and I have a lifetime pass, but this data collection is a great reason to finally be done with Plex

Wtf is this garbage?! Hungary might be past getting reliable surveys in the population, but odds on Polymarket are not a reliable replacement.

Watch The Comeback to understand what 'uncomfortable' can mean. Brilliant TV.

Not quite, this particular paragraph was identical in the cold war era but the other paragraphs, mainly defining when it is in effect and when not, were changed. This made the law applicable since January 1st of this year. So previously this rule was only applicable during war or "conflicting times" and now it always is.
