So you'd sacrifice individuality? That's a good scifi one.

If The internet gets good enough with chips in our head and everything. I guess that's what we'd basically have. Access to each other's memories and senses. Just ghosts and an internet of flesh

 

Private property? Freedom of speech? Freedom to breed? Freedom of thought?...

Advertising is a method of persuasion.

It's as old as civilization.

We advertise for various reasons, selling products is just one of them.

And yes, over time, we have developed new advertising techniques.

A body of techniques is what's referred to as a "technology".

I think that I addressed your "concentration meditation is focusing harder" and "I'm experienced" (to paraphrase) comments pretty dead on actually.

Your "people take meds for a reason"....ya, I skipped it as nebulous.

So don't give me that silly guff.

But seriously, do you meditate?

Concentration meditation is hard for everybody.

If you can do it for 3 seconds straight then you're doing great.

So you do it for 2 or 3 seconds, get distracted by your thoughts, notice that you got distracted, return to meditating, and so on.

And then maybe tomorrow you can do it for 4 seconds.

You get MUCH better with practice.
