Well, US wouldn't have it's critical mineral if US abandons Ukraine. Considering China is controlling their Critical Mineral exports, the next viable option is to buy from the country US wants to invade: Canada and Greenland
Don't they have to take it out of the pouch if they want to use the phone in Hungary?
China could also say only Chinese ships docking at Chinese ports and now there's a nice middlemen that also adds cost to the price.
The most efficient is probably ship to Mexico or Canada and import through land, but still need middlemen to do them + extortion by Cartels in Mexico.
It's going to be bad for the US mining companies abroad. They'll be exposed to locals looking for trouble or money
