Bill...what happens when the oceans acidify to the point that they stop producing oxygen? 98% of the oxygen in the world is produced by the ocean, Bill. As it stands currently, roughly 1/3 of all calories consumed on Earth are produced from petroleum derived nitrogen, much of which further pollutes the ocean due to agricultural runoff into the oceans, causing a cascading problem of worsening the acidifation of the oceans.

Climate Change will not only kill off all humans, but anything that relies on oxygen to breath...Bill. You might want to reword your statements to be more realistic like, "We might as well do right by our fellow man in our final moments and feed those who are worse off than us. At least we can provide this small comfort in our final moments."

But we all know you're not going to say that Bill.

Copilot, Github, LinkedIn, ChatGPT are the ones that come to mind. All of them have started to degrade in quality in one way or another, and with the exception of LinkedIn, they all have competitors that could potentially, over the long haul, could dismantle Microsoft. They're also running out of places to extend and extinguish.

It probably won't happen in one or two lifetimes, but enough cracks in a dam accumulate and eventually the whole thing breaks.

An image from South Park. Two Cable Company Employees rubbing their nipples through square patch holes cut out from their shirts

Even though this shit was apparent from day fucking 1, at least the Tech Billionaires were able to cause mass layoffs, destroy an entire generation of new programmers' careers, introduce an endless amount of tech debt and security vulnerabilities, all while grifting investors/businesses and making billions off of all of it.

Sad excuses for sacks of shit, all of them.

Taught or not, propaganda or not. Any idea can become reality given enough momentum.

My take is that monarchies, fascism, these aren't natural ways for people to live. Even if freedoms aren't guaranteed, people will always strive for them. So even if you're right, and I'm inclined to agree with much of what you said, I figure heck, might as well fight to make the dream a reality, especially if it was never real to begin with.

The brutal truth is that America was founded on the premise of no kings, and that if you want a king you should move to Britain and get the fuck out of America.

No, and I'm sure the various OS's that have been made by Governments have their (sometimes severe) flaws. But it is a potential solution to government reliance on corporate technologies nevertheless.
