“The return of famine to Gaza is what we fear most, even more than the shelling,” said Sobhi Al-Zaaneen, a 50-year-old father of seven, originally from northern Gaza.

"The Europeans, Canada, Mark Carney, the United States, the American president… All for one, one for all, because everybody supports, here in Europe, the fact that [Ayatollah Ali] Khamenei is gone, that the nuclear capability is gone, that the ballistic missile program has been now degraded — which was a big threat for Europe, for Israel, for the whole region," he said.

Rutte commended Trump for crippling the Iranian regime’s military capabilities and eliminating Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, saying European leaders expressed broad backing during conversations over the weekend.

Rutte said he personally spoke with several top European leaders in the immediate aftermath of the strikes and views their responses as supportive.

Case In point I own 10 acres of land in the USA and find the world biggest oil reserve or the world biggest Uranium reserve and I really really hate Britain for whatever reason you can pick. Does that give the UK to enter and bomb my 10 acres back to the stone age?

The UK gave £90,000 to an Israeli report seeking to prove that sexual violence by Hamas on 7 October was “systematic”, a weakly evidenced claim Israel made central to justifying its genocide in Gaza, Novara Media can reveal.

In September 2024, Israeli government-aligned research group The Dinah Project applied to the Labour-run Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) for funding for a report seeking to establish the “systematic and premeditated nature” of Hamas’ sexual violence during and after the 7 October attack.

Following a seven-month battle with the FCDO, Novara Media has been partially granted its freedom of information (FOI) request, indicating that the department, then overseen by David Lammy, granted The Dinah Project £90,000, 75% of its budget for the four-month project. An Israeli official went on to describe the report as “a significant public diplomacy tool for us”.

I have an airsoft rifle I've been training with in my backyard, I can hit a can from like 100 yards I'm such an operator, I have camo fatigues and combat boots, I'm so ready to fight. Mr. Trump PLEASE pick me, the recruiter said I can't go and fight because my balls are really weird but that won't stop me, I'll find some way to get deployed to Israel.

Hi,

I want to make some of my services (like Nextcloud, Immich, Komga, Jellyfin and FreshRSS for example) on my home server easier accessible from remote. For that I want to use a VPS where I install Nginx and Wireguard on it and establish a VPN connection between it and my homeserver. So far so good.

My first question: For the services that I don't want to expose for remote access over that setup, can I just keep my Nginx instance that I have running now for these services. For example my budgeting service is available under finance.example.com as long as I'm in the same network as my home server right now. Would that still be possible when I have 2 Nginx instances running (one on the VPS and one on the home server directly) or would I need to configure it differently for that to work?

My second question:
Do I need to install Fail2Ban on my VPS or can I also install it on my homeserver?

An excellent suggestion was made to concentrate Iran conversation and posting to this mega thread. Please keep as much as you can here so that the main feed isn't overburdened by Iran news.

The U.S. Supreme Court declined on Monday to take up the issue of whether art generated by artificial intelligence can be copyrighted under U.S. law, turning away a case involving a computer scientist from Missouri who was denied a copyright for a piece of visual art made by his AI system.

Plaintiff Stephen Thaler had appealed to the justices after lower courts upheld a U.S. Copyright Office decision that the AI-crafted visual art ‌at issue in the case was ineligible for copyright protection because it did not have a human creator.

Thaler, of St. Charles, Missouri, applied for a federal copyright registration in 2018 covering “A Recent Entrance to Paradise,” visual art he said his AI technology “DABUS” created. The image shows train tracks entering ‌a portal, surrounded by what appears to be green and purple plant imagery.

The Copyright Office rejected his application in 2022, finding that creative works must have human authors to be eligible to receive a copyright. U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration had urged the Supreme Court not to hear Thaler’s appeal.

Authorities in Tehran have called for international action and solidarity after several hospitals and schools were impacted by United States and Israeli air strikes on the country as Iran continues to fire missiles and drones across the region.

Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Monday that the two countries “continue to indiscriminately strike residential areas, sparing neither hospitals, schools, Red Crescent facilities, nor cultural monuments”.

"These actions constitute the deliberate commission of the most heinous crimes of international concern. Indifference to this ongoing and extreme injustice will only further darken the future of humanity by jeopardising the shared values upon which our global community stands,” he wrote in a post on social media.

Pir Hossein Kolivand, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, wrote a letter publicised late on Sunday to the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), demanding an explicit condemnation of attacks impacting children and educational and medical centres.

"The Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a member of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent movement, declares its full commitment to the fundamentals of humanity, impartiality and independence, emphasising that damaged centres had no military applications,” Kolivand wrote.

Multiple Iranian hospitals have been damaged as a result of air attacks and were evacuated by authorities, but there are not believed to have been any direct strikes on any hospitals yet.

World Health Organization Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said reports of damage to the hospital are “extremely worrying” and the United Nations agency is working to verify the incident.
