Hamas says it has "lost contact" with the group of fighters holding an Israeli-American hostage captive in Gaza following an Israeli strike on their location.

The 21-year-old soldier, Edan Alexander, has appeared in videos released by the group in recent days.

Israel had asked for him to be released on day one of a new 45-day ceasefire proposal put forward last week which has been rejected by Hamas.

I love how they say that "Hamas rejects a ceasefire" when a requirement was that they completely disarm.

Like, can we do that for Israel? Can Hamas just demand BiBi fuck a pig and then say Israel rejected the ceasefire?

Given Israel's track record if Hamas disarmed it would mean death for everyone in Gaza.

I think you misunderstood. Hamas disarming isn't the sticking point here; the fact that it's a temporary ceasefire is. Israel wanted Hamas to disarm for a month and a half ceasefire.
