“Very, very senior” officials in the Trump administration have had secret meetings with far-right Canadian separatists trying to shake the foundations of the country. The covert meetings between high-ranking U.S. officials and the Alberta Prosperity Project come as a widening rift appears between Canadian leadership and the White House. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney used a speech in Davos, Switzerland, last week to call out President Trump for creating a “rupture” in the existing world order.

Americunts

So cringe 🤣

I hope you’re as brave as the people over here who have been martyred. We have a feckless opposition party, which basically means that the people are on their own, and we’re up against the most advanced military in the world. Until now, the brown shirts have been terrorizing an entire state. What would you have us do? I voted, I begged and pleaded those around me to not vote for fascism.

I am not defending this hell that 77,302,580 people welcomed in with thunderous applause.

You really need to come up with something better than Americunts though. 🤣

It’s probably best to just let other people grieve, peoples anger towards America right now isn’t unfounded. You and I are aware of the conditions we’re subjected to in this shit hole but I don’t think people in other countries are in the mood to hear about it right now

It’s fair to hate our government, it’s fucking awful. It’s fair to hate the magats, they are all vile, despicable people. It’s not fair to hate the people who are trying to do good, who are trying to kick the fascists out.

Hate the fascists, not the anti-fascists. You can do a lot of damage to the people fighting the regime by lumping us together with the neonazis.

You're asking for non-Americans to observe nuance that isn't relevant to them.

As Americans who despise Trump and have spoken and voted again him for more than a decade now, we will still be collateral damage if war broke out and they dropped bombs on American cities. Some amount of our economic activity still benefits the billionaire donors keeping MAGA in power, and any economic sanctions or boycotts they might impose to hurt MAGA will still hurt us. If we get into a shooting war with them, they will not stop to check the voting history of the soldiers they encounter. That's how conflicts go.

They have no jurisdiction over you to treat you as an individual, or as anything other than an American citizen. And if they cared too much about hurting you, they couldn't do what was necessary to opposed MAGA anyway.

I’m American and you are putting a lot of words in my mouth.

Maybe it’s because we don’t use the word “cunt”, like at all. So any sort of disparagement that includes “cunt” sounds a bit silly to us (perhaps it’s just me?)

[–] Mossheart@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

Fair enough, suppose it depends where in the world you are. Australia certainly has a different take on the word.

Sorry that I cannot feel sorry for the Americunts, while they're fucking me in the ass.

The whole world is suffering because of the mess you created.

Are you saying we should do what imperialist Americunts do, invade you and overthrow your government?

No, you elected a convicted rapist, pedophile and war criminal via a legal democratic process.

Only you can fix your own shithole. So please do, because no one else in the world voted for that rapist, yet we are being raped.

Fyi, I'm not blaming you individually.

Also, what would you like to be called instead? Fascist? Nazi? AmeriKKKan?

20 day old account rage-dumping on the only people that can change it for the better, lol. Blocked.
