The deal benefited Israel as well... what are you talking about!?

What the deal did not include was: praise for the orange pedophile and/or distraction for his crimes or Bibi's

Did an edit to add that before I saw your reply. Don't buy what Israel tells you about how they love the Iranian people. Consider Israel's material interests.

E: Also it's fairly public fact that Israel lobbied against the deal and following it lobbied for repeal.

Consider Israel’s material interests.

Hmmmm how about no... Israel had a chance but decided to become the new Nazis... they can go fuck themselves back to the stone age for all I care

"consider" as in "you won't understand why Israel does what it does unless you think about", it doesn't mean "give them what they want"

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world -5 points 2 hours ago

yes, I understood... but again, this is the slippery slope where "the best move" is justified regardless how heartless and immoral it may be

My point is I do not care what Israel had to win by this. This is wrong and they should pay dearly for their crimes against humanity

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I only meant for analysis sake 😅

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world -4 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Yes but this is the slippery slope that can justify any and all atrocities...

[–] SaltSong@startrek.website 4 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

There is a difference between "justify" and "explain." He's not saying what happened is OK, he's explaining why some people were motivated to ruin what most purple thought of as a good thing.

There is a difference between “justify” and “explain.”

Again I UNDERSTOOD... but this is a slippery slope, "explaining" why "it makes sense" to commit genocide is too close to the SLIPPERY SLOPE I am complaining about

[–] SaltSong@startrek.website 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

You keep saying "I understand" and then displaying that you don't understand.

I mean, I can explain why Grand Moff Tarken blew up Alderaan. I understand why he chose to do that. There is no slippery slope from there to "it's ok to blow up planets."

It is crucial that you understand the motivations of your enemy, and understand why he makes the decisions he does. You aren't going to defeat him by guesswork.

What part makes you think I do not understand?

There is no slippery slope from there to “it’s ok to blow up planets.”

Absolutely there is... go into ANY forum on US politics and you'll find the most immoral decisions labeled as "it was their best move"... if you go further you'll see those turned into "they'd be stupid not to do it"... and so forth
