Everyone is a nerd about something. That's how interests work in general: you only ever get called a nerd for being interested in something that others aren't interested in, but they're also interested in stuff you're not interested in, so..

Eh, I see them as fairly interchangeable. There's some subtlety in the difference between them, but.
