So, what Trump and his cronies will hear from that is that he shouldn't try to make peace, because if the EU doubles their aid, the US can reduce whatever is left.

EU should not even count US as being in the game here. They should approaching the situation as the people who have to fix it either way. That's called ownership... Ukraine is Europe, so Europe needs to fix the security situation in Europe.

It is pathetic it took Europe this long to figure it out.
