A place for for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.
A zero-tolerance policy for bigotry of any kind. Failure to respect this will result in a ban.

3 No capitalist apologia, anti-socialism, anti-communism, or liberalism, liberalism is in direct conflict with the left. Support for capitalism or for the parties or ideologies that uphold it are not welcome or tolerated.
4 No imperialism, conservatism, reactionism or Zionism, lessor evil rhetoric. Dismissing 3rd party votes or 'wasted votes on 3rd party' is lessor evil rhetoric.
5 No bigotry, no racism, sexism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any type of prejudice.
6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' Tankie, etc. This includes instance shaming.

Keep on using tiktok and nothing will be ever done about this problem, it will get worst.
If you think there are enough people on lemmy to end capitalism, than you are very silly. You have to go to where people are.
You are not solving the food waste problem by throwing away food.
Sure tt is the reason for food being thrown out. Problem solved
Food is thrown out because profits drive this society. tiktok is a big piece of the system. You will not change how things work through this proprietary centralized platform, someone else who has different goals than yours owns it and has total control over it.
Social media is what YOU make of it. We have to use the tools available to us in order to effectively organize. The splintering of social media resources like twitter and reddit to places like Bluesky and lemmy was to dilute that efficiency.

A huge chunk of growth over here was the reddit exodus 2 years ago, same thing with the growth on Bluesky.
