I'll believe it when I see it.
I don't trust American democracy at all anymore.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 5 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Yup. Too many stupids and too much election interference.

We know enough of America is over this shit to at least win the House. If that doesn't happen, the corruption will be so obvious that violence will be inevitable.

I'm sure a lot of Americans feel that way, I'm just not sure it's enough.
As you wrote yourself, there are too many stupids.
A third freaking still support this administration!! How is that at all possible??
Then there's probably about another third that don't know and don't really care.
Leaving only a third to take action, and from normal statistics we know probably only a tenth will.
That's only 3% to actively take to the streets and try to change things with force.

I hope I'm wrong, I hope Republicans get their butts kicked in the midterms. And I will celebrate if it happens.
But until it happens, I'm at best very cautiously optimistic.

Yup, it was on shaky ground before, nevermind that a pedo and his group of cronies have had two years to destroy nearly everything and stack the deck in their favor.

two years to destroy nearly everything

Half the period has passed, and he is about half finished to make it everything.
It's insane that Americans allowed Trump to become president! 😵‍💫

[–] grrgyle@slrpnk.net 5 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

It's insane they let him continue to be.

Absolutely, USA has become a rogue nation, with a democracy that can't be trusted.

CIA has 46% of the nation brainwashed enough

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago* (last edited 21 hours ago) (1 children)

I don't think it's CIA, it's the 1% through think tanks and weirdo political interest groups like Americans for Prosperity, and American media also being owned by the 1%.
Republicans by the way has become one of those weirdo interest groups supported by the 1%.

[–] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Look who started the CIA. It wasnt the 99%. Look at the history of media control. Its all shadow puppetry.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

It was Truman, and the reason was to continue war time intelligence gathering in peace time.
I don't see any reason to be particular suspicious about the original motivation for it.
The problem is that CIA has increased the political paranoia, and USA having the CIA has normalized similar intelligence agencies around the world.

But absolute I agree, that today CIA is very far from serving the majority of the population, but has become a part of the industrial complex and serving the interests of the 1%.
