This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.

Hollywood is sure obsessed with shoehorning a romance plot into everything. I remember reading the intro blurb of an edition of Ender's Game (yeah, this was in my lib days and before Orson Scott Card came out with some rightist views, anti-LGBT notably if I remember right). Anyway, OSC was talking about offers Hollywood had made to have the book made into a movie. And he was talking about how he had to be really careful in reading the contracts closely cause they'd try to do stuff like aging up the characters to have a romance between two of them. This in a book that is primarily about young children...
This is one thing I respect about The Outer Worlds. Even though I enjoy romance subplots in character RPGs like that, it's not essential to them. And as I understand it, those in charge of making the game didn't really want to do a romance subplot involving the player character. The closest thing to one in the game is with an asexual companion and another non-player character. They could have made it a priority and probably made more money that way, but they chose not to, and I don't think the game is really any less for it. I don't think it would be worse with one, but it's also not like it needed one, ya know.
