I agree with all of the criticisms and I don’t have a stake in it since I don’t live in the US. But I will criticise any comment that does not offer any actual analysis and just functions to demotivate people who are trying build a movement.

There's no space for monsters in the Left, that's all. The blood of all the people killed by them could cover a continent.

People tell me to not be an "idealist" and think "materially".

People who were compradors or served under the apparatus dedicated to crushing dissent or murdering it overseas are not to be trusted because they have demonstrated they have and can still sell out their morals and values to the highest bidder; something a lot of settlers struggle with.

There's material thought.

Then you have to take into account what Lemmy truly is: a bunch of """progressive""" Anglos larping as commies while patting themselves on the back: "monsters of my ilk have committed a crime against humanity yet again but we'll do better the next time.
