sticking an asterisk in place of one letter doesn't mean you aren't still just saying it, it's like when people upload movie scenes to youtube where someone gets shot in the head but they blur the gun like that makes it not still just a scene of someone getting shot. if it's too difficult to say "porn" and "fucking," there are other terms for those things. saying them and pretending an asterisk makes it different just comes across as being too immature to even being talking about it in the first place.
What actually changes for you if they said fuck? I just find it fascinating that it's such a big deal.

It's an amazing book, but I don't think that the comparison here works. There's a difference in a powerful power structure that's using language to manipulate a population (people have a lot to say about the newspeak and 2+2=5, but can't see the forest for the trees) and a person on a web forums choosing not say fuck. Let the person choose how they want to communicate. The only one here forcing their rules are the ones who are saying they SHOULD say fuck rather than f*ck

Tbf, "porn" isn't really the appropriate word to begin with. Porn implies that all parties were consenting and consentable. CSAM is a much more fitting term.
