For example, I don't like Will Ferrell in his typical roles. Oh they just drive me batty.

But. I do love Stranger Than Fiction. It's such a cozy movie.

Pedro Pascal. I don't think I've even seen anything he's in, and yet I feel I've been overexposed to his face. Nothing personal.

Robert Downey Jr. because he just has a smug aura and I don't like Marvel movies. I'm sure he's cool irl. Or not, idk.

Chris Pratt. Too much, go away.

Jason Momoa because he's too perfect and I'll never be him.

The Rock because he's annoying and in everything. I liked him more as a wrestler.

Then watch The Mandalorian :P

RDJ plays a smug Tony Stark very well but the man himself has been through some shit and dug out and I respect him for that. Plus, he’s fucking hilarious in Tropic Thunder

Fully agreed on Pratt and Rock. Enough, go home and sit down somewhere.

I liked Chris Pratt until he was in some ad hawking a prayer app. Now I can't watch his movies.

I didn't mind him in Parks and Rec for a while, but after some time he just had nothing to offer. He's the weakest link for me.

Guardians and Jurassic Park could have been played by anyone and I wouldn't miss him in those. He just seems like a nothing-burger that stumbles into success repeatedly.

What about him did you like?

[–] surewhynotlem@lemmy.world 2 points 14 hours ago

I think I just liked Starlord the character, TBH. Agree he was just a goofball in parks and rec. Nothing special, but I didn't actively dislike him like I do now.

If you're ever curious, watch the Rock in No Pain No Gain. He's a supporting character and dumb as hell. It's one of my favorite roles of his.

If you haven't seen Be Cool, you might find yourself adding it to your list of favorite Rocky roles.

[–] GrayBackgroundMusic@lemmy.zip 3 points 16 hours ago

Never heard of it, thanks.

Great movie! And a great example of where Mark Whalberg's talent is best suited. You're a chump. You play chumps really well. Stop pretending you can act, chump.

Real about Momoa.
