Is he actively, continuously transphobic, or was it just that time everyone talks about? One time is too many, but there are way worse folks for sure. I don't really follow Californian politics though
He just vetoed a bill that would have allowed trans people to legally stockpile a year’s worth of hormones. This happened during a time when Republicans are floating national HRT bans for trans people of any age. His excuse was that this would somehow raise healthcare costs… By paying for a year’s worth of medication that people are already on and are going to stay on for the next year. It is a flimsy excuse and he’s a POS for it.
He also vetoed a bill last year that would have expedited licensing for out of state doctors who moved to California if those doctors practice gender affirming health or mental health care as part of their practice. This is a big deal not only because it’s shitty, but because there’s an expected increase in trans patients after care is banned in other states.
Thank you for giving me more to look into than googling Gavin Newsom transphobic. But to be honest, I have enough on my plate at home and until he is running for national office, that's what I need to save my energy for you know?

I mostly only know about it because I’m trans and in California, I couldn’t tell you a thing about most other governors! Focus local first is always smart.
He repeated the lie “keeping up with pronouns is difficult”
I don't have a problem with pronouns that are unique, but don't use words that have different meanings. Make new words if the current ones are insufficient.
I've been raising my kids to not make deals with the fae and don't want them to be confused.
I don't like your energy here but I'll agree that it's not important to me to "live my authentic self" when I'm doing perfunctory things in Public.

I mean that application is a little pandering, just a custom field is fine. The world is unfortunately not a safe space though, so there is something to say about a company displaying that they are at least attempting to create an equitable work environment is not nothing.
But I think most otherwise reasonable adults are going to find addressing someone in a business environment as Fae/Fear difficult with a straight face. Is that wrong? Idk

I absolutely feel you and it's why I am grateful for the other response. Googling Gavin Newsom transphobic is just an energy drain for me at this point. I believe it, that sucks. Pretty big "one thing" poison pill
he still believes he can court some on the fence transphobic voters i guess? hes okay with everything else lgbtq+ just not trans rights. no doubt he has financial benefactor that is pressuring him to not heed trans right.
