A hardcore dinosaur survival game. You're a primitive human on a randomly generated island full of dinosaurs. Your only weapons are spears, clubs, bows, etc., no guns. You can't have the dinos as mounts or pets, you are trying to survive them in their domain. The goal is to survive and build a base that can provide you with enough protection to continue surviving while exploring the mysteries of the island where you can. I imagine it would be quite difficult to do this.

Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, toxicity and dog-whistling are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them

4) NSFW is okay, within reason

I think ark can give this experience, with gun engrams turned off in the map settings and maybe with a mod to disable taming if there’s no setting for that
I want the realistic dragon sim mmo that was promised.
But is it 100% science based?
Call of Duty but from the prespective of the Vietmanese or Afghanis or Iraqis or etc, etc, etc.
No game, but a universal game integration machine: play gta in the city you built in skylines. switch to either forza or nfs for the racing and have your character use tekken style combos for fistfights. all shops and services ingame are either idlers or self manageable via a sim game.
Years ago I thought of a Civilization, Sim City and Transport Tycoon mix. You choose the level you play and the other levels are played by other players.
And another game I thought was a ship with all the crew and you are only one person in the crew. You can ask for any position but if there's already someone playing on that position you have to choose another or challenge that player.
Oh, this is gonna be one of my longer comments..!
Imagine the Fallout universe only less grim and less apocalyptic. There have been not dirty/radioactive world war, but a massive solar flare that fried all global electronics. This leads to mass disarray, as society is so dependent on electronics that we're facing a total societal collapse. However, people do not turn wild and crazy like in the Fallout franchise, Metro franchise, or others.
This is set in the year 2051, about 4 years after the solar flare called the DC (The Digital Cleansing). The first few months after the DC people panicked, and raided most stores and such for food, and a lot of people died, especially in the bigger cities, due to lack of food and transport. A lot of people thought ahead however, understood what this meant, and moved out into the countryside to live off of the land just like humanity did back in the days.
You are a Longing One; someone who longs for the times of the past, looking through ruins to find functional technology. You disassemble it, learn it, document it, and rebuild the modern society from your little village. Most people are helpful and encouraging of your adventures, but of course some people who believe the past should stay in the past.
You will face environmental dangers (abandoned structures and global warming related events), manage your resources on your excursions (hydration, temperature, sleep), and dig through all kinds of buildings - libraries, research institutes, governmental offices, and normal homes.
Back home in your village you will be able to grow fruits and vegetables, tend to animals, and trade items with your neighbors for resources both for survival and for excursions. You get to help your neighbors with quests like finding certain items in the ruins or helping them rebuild something on their farmstead.
The ultimate goal of the game is nothing more grand than a village that thrives - you grant them electricity, steady resources, and a happy life, while finding small stories both in the present and the past that tells you of how things were and have become.
A mostly peaceful game, where there's realistic documentation about how technologies work, and a village that grows from your contributions.
Dark Souls Miyazaki and Ghibli Miyakazi team up to make an action game that's either based on or has the same vibes and visuals as Princess Mononoke or Nausicaa.
Native American game where you free your captive tribe and hunt colonizers. It could have some mythical elements like controlling animals and using ancestors to help control the environment for you.
Tchia is like that but more kid friendly.
American McGee's idea for the 3rd Alice game.
EA is the worst!
I'd have Larian make a Star Wars RPG.
What era? Any interaction with known characters?
Why would I want them to make a game? Factorio already exists.
I have humble wishes. I want the "Terror from the deep" remake that was teased at the end of X-Com 2.
Oh just whatever game they've always wanted to make if they got the chance
they can make destiny 3 for me
Portal 3. I've played the fan sequels and they're pretty good. I want more. There is never enough portal.
Factorio is almost perfect so idk how you'd made a sequel better.
Star craft 3 or maybe a 3rd person star craft? I wanna drive a Goliath or a siege tank around.
3rd person star craft?
Starcraft Ghost existed. Then they canned it and we'll never see it finished.
Factorio is almost perfect so idk how you’d made a sequel better.
A game that frees up time for you to play more factorio
I'd ask for whatever Star Citizen was supposed to be. It's the only way that game will ever be finished.
"pod",
A game where you start with one von Neumann machine, and find yourself in a procedural generated solar system. You goal is to learn everything you can from this system and copy yourself then send you and the copy to the next solar system. In time you should find yourself managing a huge amount of pods.
But space isn't as empty as it seems, some systems are inhabited and will fight you. Preferably those enemies would be procedurally generated too, so that every playthrough is completely unique and weird.
Incidentally, have you read the Bobiverse series?
No, never heard of it, but I am downloading the audiobooks now :)
Oh, you are in for a ride!
I always say if I were a billionaire I would fund games and shows left and right, there are so many ideas that die or fizzle because of lack of funding. Seems like most people with money have no other passion but their money and controlling others.
Personally I would sponsor whatever cyberpunk game CDPR is working on next and for an original IP I'd like to see a medieval era ghost of Tsushima like game with all the longswords, chainmail and leather armor that comes with that.
Half life 3
A Sim Tower successor that isn't too sweaty and micro-managey.
apex legends 2
no aim assist
full Linux support
no controller allowed in pro play
legends that are designed to turtle buildings heavily nerfed
legends that have high mobility slightly nerfed
legend abilities that do damage are heavily nerfed
legend abilities that slow camera panning are completely removed
The orange box 2.
nobody's interested in driving?
i wish for a test drive unlimited: earth, with physics, tuning, customisation from forza
Quadriplegia Simulator.
Warhammer 40k city builder.
Faster than light but with submarines
Check out UBOAT.
X4: Foundations mixed with Oblivion.
I want to fling fireballs at goblins and then take off and fling missiles at capital ships. Let me orbitally bombard that dire wolf nest until its nothing but ashes. Gimme space magic where a wizard powers some kinda magi-tech engine that amplifies its ice magic to be a viable weapon in interstellar space.
A space combat sim with accurate relativistic physics.
I-war III (Independance War) but leaning more to the first (1997). I loved this game ans its feeling.
A sequel to Half Life Alyx
alyx 2, seem more realistic than hl3
